ok genuine question. comparing maimane and jacob zuma, which would be more fit for leading a country out of poverty and into real BBBEE which i totally agree with btw. yes the ANC has got the country out of the hands of oppression and the world will forever owe it to the freedon fighters who made it happen. BUT! now that south africa is a free country. do we really still need someone who has a history of only fighting for equality? or do we need someone who is a product of this new system which can bring south africa toward a situation where everyone has an equal start in life and can get on their feet and create something for themselves? thats what mandela started, education was the biggest deal for him, then came mbeki who was economy driven and all was moving reasonably toward something posivtive. thats kind of whats happening in the Western Cape, and its a fact. but since zuma took over, the biggest news he made was scandle after scandle. it shadows the good things he does and it makes SA look bad. if the ANC had someone like Maimane then i wouldnt think twice before voting for them. comparing maimane to zuma is like comparing the iphone 6 to a nokia 3310. everyone loves the nokia (zuma) because its a classic and has built the foundations of what we now understand about cellphones, but its outdated and very limited to what it can do and the glitches are endless although the battery will last for ages!. the iphone, even though not everyone is an apple fan, it is capable of doing SOOOOOOO much more. its the newest smartest and best performing and no one can deny its effectiveness no matter how much they dislike it. people cant vote for the ANC because its sentimental to them, they need to vote to get something that works. thats the beauty of having opposition parties. it shows that it can be a successful alternative. it gives the voter the option to be selfish for once and decide what they want in a government. not the other way around like in apartheid.

The Dr Martin Luther King..."I have a dream" concept of presenting a message works brilliantly all the time, and has been used by many great leaders...like Barak Obama. Mr. Mmusi, sir your presentation moved me. I appeal to you for consistency and not just getting our votes. I like sincerely like your style...and support your message... May God guide you and protect you ...to serve the people...regardless of race, religion or colour.

He represents the new generation of forward thinking, non-racist people of SA and they will get behind him and move this country forward. Voting for the ANC is for those who have Stocklholm Syndrome and fallen in love with their captors. Time for change and new hope..vote DA all the way!!!

+Lamy No they're not closely related. He speaks all of those. For example, he'd speak one language for 2 or 3 sentences and switch to another. Many people in South Africa can speak more than 2 languages. It's very common.

I'm sorry lampy blame the apartheid for that we still live with its legacy
@lampy44857 жыл бұрын
What does apartheid have to do with this. Apartheid was SICK and DISGUSTING, this man and the DA are NOT. Is it because DA is a "white" party? If so then you should have a good look at yourself in the mirror. You're no better than those who ran apartheid. I'm white Hassan, and i have NOTHING to be ashamed of. I was born this colour and had no choice over it. So hate me if I'm white Hassan, that's your choice. Just know that i don't hate you. I will never hate you. I dislike Jacob Zuma, not because he's black, but because of the things he has done which has brought the terrible state of this country and the lower class are those who are suffering the most, not that he gives a damn. All he wants is his big private jet and giant house and who knows what else. Sorry for the late reply Hassan, i just checked my notifications today.

We don't need inspirational leaders, we need people who will address the issues facing the majority of South Africans. He unfortunately represent the interests of the minority views. We need employment opportunities, economic growth and access to quality education. I don't see Mmusi realising the importance of that.

Yes, Mmusi Maimane, you have the charisma, you have the character and you have rallied those who would hear. But now its time for you to bleed with the people, feel with the people as we do. In the true character of the nation and the man who brought about change(Nelson R.I.P) you must forgo any and all party loyalties and show that you are willing to undertake the sacrifices that the Nelson and the people who died for freedom set. Certainly the act does not need to have the same measurement of suffering, the struggle in media may be over, but it certainly is most rife on the streets and towns that are easily forgot in the sight of success once obtained. You will only obtain this connection with the people if you relent all cultural, religious and status ties. Any essence that creates any remote sense of segregation must go. Look at Nelson's example, while the people on the streets were denied equality he sacrificed his freedom and this made everyone in the struggle unite and placed him on the front-line of the fight for the freedom of our country. You must become only the message that will call the people into action. Then and only then can you unite them under the banner to fight off this blight from the honor many have fought for. Logic will not win you votes, for as South-African's many still vote with their hearts as their minds cower in the fear of apartheid. Not to mention the pride of the African people--that is relentless in seeing that the once great ANC is now nothing if but the same master's dog that would deny the people of this very country their opportunity. Pride can be such a blinding thing. There is so much to talk about... Perhaps there will still be time. Until then, I will be watching you as every South African should.

Renaldo Maclons This guy will cast himself as the reincarnation of Mandela. the USA media portrayed Obama was the reincarnation of Martin luther king Jr. But once in power obama was timid and the media played the race card to "protect' him 24/7 & meanwhile fooled all of the USA by saying that he had to do nothing in order to sit in the chair. He'll say "just elect me and I'll show you." The media will make him seem godlike just like Obama but don't fall for him. He'll let you down like Obama let liberal whites & blacks down in America.
@RNJudas9 жыл бұрын
farcher3 That's just it. My words are more than just words... they are ideals. Every man/woman falters from time to time but what we need, what we want... Is someone willing to stand up and be counted, charisma is one thing, background another. I don't care about race, at the end of all this we are all losing everyday because we allow the past to dictate our future. We came from there, it's time we look at what we want and admit to ourselves that how we are doing things now won't get us there. I think I should get into politics... but I don't want votes or to lead a people. I want to see the people lead and watch them do what our fathers hoped we would.
