actually the crusted blood part is referring to how she killed all of the other needle knights. I remember reading in one of the item descriptions that she is the only needle knight that remains because of this. I think one of the talismans you get for helping her kill hornsent or ansbach. She's always been the paranoid type and miquella probably enchanted her to subdue this tendency of hers.

It was Carried over to reference okina to a certain degree but in general the idea of blood encrusting weapons and people in fromsoft refers to excessive killing. For the mesmer soldiers it's because of the drawn out holy war and for Leda it implies that she has killed far more than you might assume and for very minimal reasons.

I desperately wish there was a 4th Light Greatsword added to the DLC, because at the end of Leda's quest, I finally used her sword along with Milady to test the power stanced moveset and I absolutely fell in love with it. But now I'm using my 2nd character to play the DLC, and only the Milady works with my 2nd file's build. (Rellana's Twin Blades require too much INT for my STR/FAI file, and too much FAI for my DEX/INT file)

The only thing that I dislike about the Light Greatswords is that they seem to lack any poise damage, having less than straight swords. Though they do feel great in base game where you can capitalize on openings, meanwhile in the DLC enemies rarely have openings and alot of the DLC punishes powerstancing. Im honestly tempted to try cheesing the final boss because it is just to much going on for my hamster of a brain to keep up with in phase 2.

@@francisharkins I power stanced either 2 greatswords or 2 colossal greatswords throughout almost the entire DLC (for my STR/FAI build). For the final boss I was forced to change everything up. Died so many times I changed my whole identity. Started trying out weapons I'd never normally waste stones on. More futile attempts though... So I Went back to power stancing, this time with two +24 Great Stars & finally took him down. 1000 year voyage guided by frustration. Lol

Either that, or you should be able to power stance any light Greatsword along side any straight sword, and still benefit from the dual-light Greatsword moveset. The same way there's a wakazashi that is classified as a dagger but still allows you to power stance it with other katanas.

Spoilers for the end of the dlc. . . . . . . . The fact that her paranoia only starts when miquella's charm is broken kinda gives up a glimpse on the kind of world miquella would've brought over as elden lord. His new order would ensure devotion by stealing the hearts of others and if they ever resist the charm or break free they would be executed out of fear of no longer being loyal to miquella, with the lord himself trying to kill/charm the tarnished instead of trying to talk to him and convince him that his way is better than the old order. This would not had been an age of compassion. But a Tiranny with a new kind of tarnished, 'those devoid of his love'

All these Miquella sidekick npc's just made me never want to complete any quest in souls games. This is crazy, i was going out of my skin to make sure that every damn soul is heard, helped and saved only for those pillagers to turn on me in this "honorable" 2v5 gank. Okay so bare with me, this perception only is possible because of listening to Lady Babylon's borderline insanity discussing early Christianity, but you know Elden Ring mirrors the first 1000 years of Christianity, right? Well Marika is obviously the "Christ" of the world right? She's been crucified, it has to be her. Ahhhhh but thats the catch, again this only makes sense with a touch of what Lady Babylon was talking about in the ancient Greek Bible, the Septuagint, there was a female Christ (this concept originated in Greece and is not equivalent to messiah) before Jesus the Christ, named Medea, and thats who Marika represents. Oh and Medea controlled serpents, much like how Marika before being crucified in the Erd Tree kept the Serpent of Volcano Manor under reign. Miquella actually represents Jesus The Christ, and this is mirrored in Miquella trying to make pure of the golden order, and a new tree, kinda like how Jesus caused a reformation of that time's Judaism's world view. I mean that it built off of it, not replaced it. Also there are two orders of knights loyal to Miquella, mirroring the Catholic and Orthodox branches of the church, with their colors matching the colors of each respectively. Oh and the Roundtable hold is probably representive of The Knights Templar and Gideon is the embodiment of the corruption of the symbol "The Eye of Providence". Miyazaki bakes esoterism in deep. I am not trying to be a raving heretic nor do I believe Im insulting Jesus explaining this.
