⁠@@od-bhoot6341From what I can tell, Qaboos reigned for so long that people consider him THE sultan of Oman. No one can imagine anyone else sitting on the throne. It’s like how people in the UK consider Elizabeth II as THE queen of the UK, or how the Thai people consider Rama IX as THE king of Thailand. They’ve reigned for so long they can’t imagine anyone else being on the throne.
