Orko was my favorite, even as a kid. He always truly cared for his friends even though they sometimes treated him poorly. He always had moments where his true power came out as well.

Uncle Montork always thought that Orko had great potential. Orko's thing was the he was young, his self confidence was not all there due to his magic malfunctioning due to him being out of the dimension Trolla is in. But yes, I also thought that in time he would become a very powerful sorcerer indeed. I had never heard the secret watcher theory of Orko's origin, but it does sound very interesting.

Uh, I hope you read my comment! I'm just 19 years old, I met he-man through my dad and it fascinated me, I ended up seeing all the content of the franchise and Orko is my favorite character, I usually draw him a lot even the 200x version which is my favorite part of the franchise and which I write alternative worlds of the world of 200x, in most of them Orko is quite important because it is my favorite! I have one of them where Skeletor reigns with some machines of dubious origin that managed to destroy everything making him reign over the entire universe , before that, Orko in this universe was a veteran soldier of the "Trollan Empire" because before Skeletor and the machines, the Trollans were feared for being enslavers, let's say that Orko is good and ends up saving Adam to defeat Skeletor after finding the lost sword of power. I have many others that I write where he is bad or others where I give him a twin sister or more, I love to experiment and I have fun writing fanfics about it!

I can’t believe the way they just did him dirty. There is no way they can keep him dead. After all he is ORKO the great! On Trolla he is the most powerful Trollan it is it is well know that his magic does not work on Eternia the way it should. If he wouldn’t have sacrificed his magic medallion he would still be able to channel his powers to work like they do on his home planet. There is a reason he is one of the Masters of the Universe.

@@HydraCollectables While I agree with the sentiment, I need to point out two things. First, The way he was talking during that scene could be interpreted as the Ring Spell being a banishing spell. Secondly, the trailer for Part 2 has dropped. Anything else I could say, no matter how vague, would be spoilers, as said trailer is nothing *BUT* spoilers! Seriously, I actually regret watching it!

In the new Netflix He-man and the Masters of the Universe they made a robot have Orkos personality but Orko the Great was an actual historical person which makes me wonder if it's the same Orko from the Original series.

I like Orko a lot. I remember getting him for Christmas in 85. I loved playing with him and Prince Adam and Teela like in the cartoon I watched on Fan Factury at sky channel. He is great and I have all incarnations of him in my collection.

I love how this guy trying to show how great Orko is by the fact he can beat Skeletor around with simple little tools and tricks that are perfectly timed, to some spells just to make a difference since we know Orko should know when to use magic. Then came Masters of the Universe Revelations where we see the full power of Orko the Great. No tricks, no simple spells, just his raw Power unhindered. Taking on a Cosmic powered Evilyn, Scare Glow and his army from hell, and still helping Man at arms and Teelas new friend to find what they need, all at once. Just after he was like, you know what, I decide I'm not gonna die right now and came back from the dead. I know he didn't technically bring himself back, but since he can match the one who brought him back it's not out of the question. In fact, one version of Orko was apparently so great, he managed to help all of Trolla Ascend to a higher plane. He managed to bring Enlightenment to his WHOLE SPECIES, Before taking their Entire Planet to another dimension.

I have not seen the new series yet. But i look at the comics once and a while and picked up the short run HeMan vs Justice League. It appears that Skelator had won by putting everyone at eterina (sorry for my bad spelling) HeMan and Tealia somehow escape after imprisoned made it to earth with Skelator after them. It turns out not only him but the Hoard as well. Turns out Orco was not there when the imprisoned happened and snapped pretty much kicking every bad guy becoming the one in charge Skelator even confess he didn't believe Orco was nothing more than a joke till he took over.

I remember also an episode where Skeleton tried to get rid of Orko when he was in a sour mood about himself. The Socceross then rescued him, and convinced him to stay. Even skeleton knew how important Orko was to He-man, why else take the time to get rid of him.

I remember another one from the filmation at the show in an episode that did not cover his face that was considered an outcast in their culture and that character also like to play pranks and orko did not like him at all it was their version of an anti masker

Orko found out that Sketor tricked Human into thinking he killed someone so that made him very important, because otherwise he-man would of given up his powers forever.

I always thought Orko was a spin off of Batmite on the 1977 cartoon series Batman I figure since Filmation made both cartoons

so in a way hes like Michelangelo from the tmnt . i think mick is smart but uses comedy to ether hide that or use it as a kind of weapon in itself . i dont know any other characters like this but someone here might know . good video buy the way
