I am not sure about the reason why Savitar needs the suit, but I think I have another theory. When Barry was hit by the 'Speed Force' lightning, some chemicals fell on him and they probably affected the speed force energy within him in such a way that he was given a sort of 'protection shield' against the affects of running so fast on his body (cause practically, if an object managed to run that fast it would technically blow up in a huge explosion). From what we know about Savitar, he was hit by that lightning when he was testing a new aircraft so technically he was affected differently than Barry, maybe in a way that his body would break down if he continued running so fast. It could be that the suit allows him to main his body while running and I think it says in the comics that he can steal other speedsters speed, so it allows him to main all that speed force in his body. So, yeah that's what my explanation about why he wears that suit.

I have one suspect with respect to one of savitar's line. He says to iris - "I'm sorry you have to die, but either it had to be me or it had to be you". I think its the pied piper a.k.a. Hartley Rathway, now I know it will come as a shock to most of the people reading this, but here's the thing. Comic book readers know that the character is gay in the comics. I don't know whether the show's character is also a gay or not, but supposedly Hartley by someway feels attracted to barry. Now, we all know that barry isn't gay and plus he loves iris, Hartley thinks that he couldn't be with barry because of iris, this leaves Hartley heartbroken and he vows revenge against barry and iris. Somehow he gets the philosopher's stone and becomes a speedster.Now remember what savitar said that there could only be one of us. Maybe he means that barry could either be with iris or he could be with Hartley and so he kills her. Hartley was even a member of team flash as we saw last year when he had helped them against the time wraiths. He knows the real H.R. is dead. He also has kind of a superiority complex like savitar in the show, this is shown when he taunts Cisco during the first season. Even, savitar thinks he's a God and everyone should worship him. I'm just saying this because of what grant gustin said that no one has clues about savitar's identity and so far I think very few people would've even imagined Hartley as savitar.

Here's a big "what if"-theory after watching the new Legends (which made it more obvious why they changed air dates. I haven't read all the comics, just some of it. And I'm curious.. Even when Zoom was introduced, he seemed unstoppable; but they then revealed how he was on some sort of "drug" allowing him to go THAT much faster than The Flash. However.. How on earth is Flash supposed to defeat Savitar? I can't seem to figure out how the producers can find a way that doesn't seem stupid AF. It seems like he (savitar) is on a COMPLETELY different level than the Flash.

Idk man I'm all for cool effects but realistically Savitar's hand covers all of Barry's chest, theres no way a man is supposedly in "armor" unless if they ever do show it, they'll scale it all down dramatically. No real person in this show could wear armor that big.

I thought the regular people like Joe and Wally couldn't see savitar because he was moving so fast. I thought he was moving so fast only speedsters could see him but they saw him as regular people see the flash

i would say its julian because in the comics saviter is somebody who works with barry and saviter couldve ran back in time and create another version of himself like jay gerrack did. also they fucked up in episode 9 because i think saviter is trapped in the speedforce when the stone is in the box and that stone is a gate way thats maybe why he ran beck in time to get another version of himself so he can have 2 appearnces but the same person thats why hes able to croos over and talk through julians mind or he could very well be future barry like the blue flash arc where wally dies and the speedforce is wounded and he has to kill red flash to restore the speed force.another thing is when 2 speedsters race agianst each other theres a chance where 1 speedster can take the other ones speed

Regarding Savitar's Metal Suit, when you said that he was experimenting with a new technologically advanced fighter jet. What if the show combined the Daniel West story with Savitar? Maybe he fused with the Jet like how Daniel West fused with the Train.

I am actually starting to think that Julian might just be Savitar and not Alchemy. I know it's odd but it would be the perfect kind of twist considering everyone is already connecting Julian to Alchemy because of the names in the comics. However, I do rather like how in several episodes where Alchemy has been present, Julian was also present somewhere. However, the moment Savitar actually shows up for longer than 30 seconds, Julian has left work? It's so odd.
