I believe the more likely theory of how Draven is related is that he killed Sett's father in one of Noxus pits. His father might've went to Noxus to earn more to provide for his family better or the arena master made the most profit from fighter about to buy out his freedom and send him for an execution show; in any case, ending up fighting Draven and losing his life. Vendetta resulting from finding out about such events would be much more interesting than kid begging his dad to come home story, in my opinion.

I really like the idea of Draven being his dad, it adds a lot more complexity to his character, maybe he had a soft spot for the vastayan woman and was willing to change his ways for her but the pressure of Noxian shame put upon him (especially by his brother) pushed him to leave and return to the pits, maybe he just succumbed to his greed, either way expanding on Draven's lore is not something I would complain about and seeing that he might have some soft side to him would be cool

It's not impossible that, since Sett was born before the invasions/war, Draven and Darius hadn't reached their current positions. Draven could still be a young man, fighting his way up, as Darius grew in strength to eventually become the hand of Noxus. This could mean he was with Sett's mom, but had to leave due to the war, and wanting to perform in more expensive pits. A few more pit transfers, some personal image changes follow, he gets spinning axes, and bam! The Draven we all know and love. Meanwhile, Sett is growing up and such.
