Darth Vader is a perfect villain, I always liked him most because the emperor just seemed like a comical diabolical archetype, Vader had a real mystery and coolness to him and you never truly knew what he was gonna do. Thulsa Doom from Conan the Barbarian, another James Earl Jones classic villain, he lead the cult of set that killed Conan’s village when he was young and brainwashed people so much that they would kill themselves on his command, scary stuff! Napoleon from Animal Farm is an iconic villain, he perfectly represented how the most evil thing you can do is to convince others that they are doing good for society when their actions benefit nobody else besides their dear leader, it rings very true of the despotism a lot of people suffer through.

It’s interesting they brought up “I am Legend” because you can argue that Will Smith is the villain in the movie. A new race of humans can only be out at night, and during the day, legend speaks of a man who steals your family while your sleeping, never to be seen again. Hence the name “I am Legend”

I would put Judge Doom up there for having the ability to kill toons and hearing the pain toons slowly in the dip barrels. Tetsuo from Akira is another iconic villain that when exposed to science and drugs turns into a powerful being who barely controls with the newfound psychic abilities. And the thing from John Carpenter where it is blending other appearances and infecting humans to the point of paranoia and disaster.
