100% agree with you on the blatant favoritism that ONE has on Haggerty against Superlek here, was thinking to the time Haggerty dropped Nong-O and crowned the new Bantamweight king, he got 100Gs for that quick work. But Superlek did the same or heck even more impressive here but got only 50Gs. So yeah it’s pretty blatant and kinda sad to me that one of the greatest fighters are not treated the way he should be just because he can’t speak English or have the same skin color to the audience they’re trying to attract.

So how did it end? Haggerty committed suicide by rushing in, Superlek just needed to stick out the elbow and Haggerty ran into it. It looked like an absolute dumb beginners mistake.

He seemed to lose his composure in the moment if that fight plays out longer I think we see a competitive battle, he just ran into the one weapon upstairs he had to worry about, I think he just tried to rush a finish not a good look unfortunately

Panpayak the only fighter who have a higher chance to beat Superlek and Rodtang. Panpayak is in ONE's jail. They are scared they will make Superlek look bad lol.

Panoayak sane camp with Rodthang tho but yes…he ein3 superlek win 4 the one can beat him is Panpayak

I think Tawanchai, Panpayak, Dani Rodriguez and many others are more skilled than Haggerty. Hell even the last guy Superlek fought before this Haggerty matchup. This is a good example of how popularity can cloud judgement. Haggerty has been marketed well in ONE and has been protected. Everyone he's fought in ONE outside of Rodtang and Superlek were people he was supposed to beat. Nong-O is a legend but he's old and it was only a matter of time. Same with Sam-A. These were good wins don't get me wrong but there are plenty of fighters who I consider more skilled but aren't as known to the western audience because they're either not fighting in ONE or aren't as popular.

Google Dani Rodriguez (make sure you add muaythai at the end of that). He's a guy to watch out for in terms of western muaythai fighters. Hopefully you don't take my reply as patronizing. You seem very combat knowledgeable its just you also seem less of a hardcore Muaythai fan and more of a overall combat sports fan.

@@prometheus6898I see your point for sure thanks for the comment, and no your not being patronizing, I think in terms of being a “better fighter” you have a point I think in terms of just pure skill and ability I don’t think my take was wrong necessarily especially being in a lower weight class, but Jon definitely had favorable matchups and that favoritism also kind of lead me to thinking the judges would favor him in a close fight, the quick ending kinda made me look stupid but I think if we see that fight extend it’s very competitive, but yeah your right I’m more of a hardcore mma fan but I still love Muay Thai I train it myself it’s just harder to keep up with, but I had to make a video for this one since they are some of my favorite fighters in the sport

Nice vid. Got to disagree about them being no 1 and 2. Rodtang's striking and defense are better than these guys. Go watch the exchanges between Rodtang and his last opponent.

I think that’s a fair argument overall, I was more so talking about skill and technique purely, in that regard rather than also taking into consideration the full applications of their entire games, but I think rodtang gets hit too much and is more reliant on aggression and pressure rather then technique and skill like these two, thanks for the comment!
