Good morning Rabbi. I was an atheist up until October last year, the time I received 3 very vivid dreams which I never experienced in all my 42 years. 3 dreams had something in common (bible end days). My 3rd dream, which was the most terrifying but now believe it was a good dream after reading a bible, manifested in a mark on me. Think it’s a Hebrew letter or word. Would like to email pic of it to you because I don’t know what it means, if there is meaning? 1st dream, I saw thousands of people being divided into 2 lines. I was standing to the right side of the line and saw my mother taken to the left (she was screaming and crying). Woke up. Didn’t think much of Dream, just unusual. Second dream, I believe came days later or less than a week. I was standing in front of Pope Francis, he appeared very troubled. Then I saw Jared Kushner standing next to him (to the pope right hand), he was standing with no expression and didn’t say anything, then I glanced over back at Pope and he pointed to Kushner and said “he is the antichrist”. I woke up immediately. Was a little scared. Didn’t understand why I was having these dreams because I was an atheist. My 3rd dream, I saw myself lying on my back on a bed or table (not sure what I was on). Next thing I saw my body go up in flames. Woke up and my pajamas were soaking wet. Next morning, I noticed a huge mark on my abdomen that appears as burn but it did not burn. Took almost 2 months to fade away. Few days ago, I though the mark looks like it could be a Hebrew letter or sign. I had supernatural encounters since. Would love to get your email and send you supernatural stuff I have encountered. I know God exist as he shown me many things now. Had visions during prayer. Several dreams (apocalyptic dreams) and other supernatural. God/Hashem is so good. Hallelujah 🙏

Slag is the term he was looking for, it's metal working jargon, when you melt a piece of metal in a forge all the impurities rise to the top while the precious metals being heavier fall to the bottom so when the piece is cooled all the purest metal is all together at the bottom and the slag is all the impurities that remain on top.

At 35:43 the word "slag" is a very apt description of what rabbi is explaining. "Slag" is the junk that floats to the surface when we melt iron in order to purify it.

No, you're right - 'slag' is the pulverised worthless 'dust' left over after you extract the best gold (or other precious metal) ore. Sludge is a similar, though less technical word which means a general 'mud.'

Slag is from working with or smelting metal and purifying it. slag n. The vitreous mass left as a residue by the smelting of metallic ore. transitive & intransitive verb To change into or form slag. Wikipedia:. Slag is the glass-like by-product left over after a desired metal has been separated (i.e., smelted) from its raw ore.

You were correct Rav to use the word "slag". It's waste material. We have lots of "slag heaps" left in England from the mining industry. Interestingly we use the term "slagged off" for Lashon Hara.
@marcelodasilveira89052 жыл бұрын
At ~36 minutes the use of the word "slag" would have been more appropriate than sludge as slag needs to be aggressively beaten off metal after welding. Love your teaching! Thanks Rabi!

Kohelles 7:14 In a time of prosperity, prosper! But in a time of adversity, consider: God has made one as well as the other. Therefore man cannot discover anything about his future. Isaiah 45:7 I form light and create darkness. I make shalom and create calamity. I, HaShem, do all these things.

Sludge doesn't sound the correct word, but more Sluff. Sludge is a wet mud muck substance, where you're describing just extra junk. Slag is leftover from smelting, so that is essentially the same item, although we don't use the term as such. Sluff (also spelled slough) is cast off remnants. The definition is also to crumble and slowly fall away or to get of discard as irksome. This seems to encompass the meaning more, because the carver needs to remove the chips, be they granite or wood. The term Sluff would apply to both that type of refuse.
