i dont think so, considering he by far the tallest of them 3 so he should be able to throw the big wheels around more, and that this was quite a tight and flowy track so being nimble should help. maybe if it was the alps or something where it gets really steep and rough.

I feel like that would have hurt rich since he's into 29. I wonder what would be the difference if they were all on 29. Neil would have been helped, I wonder how it would change Blake's time since he likes smaller wheels.

Almost everyone I know who has tried both, is faster on 29. They just carry more momentum. I think if Blake and Neil both did it on 29, they would both be faster. I don't know if it would mean 4s for Blake, and get him at Rich's time, but I do think all three would be faster on 29. It's kind of a bummer that they weren't all on the same wheel size actually, so it was an apples to apples comparison.

its interesting to see how differently they ride. blake is more or less a brick (sorry blake), you can see how much more stiff and jittery he rides, as well as he keeps his knees and arms really bend the entire time not using all his strength. Neil just has an incredible flow, really pushing his weight around, pumping every corner, finding pedal strokes everywhere, and just being super smooth overall. and Rich is in between i feel, leaning more towards the neil side of course. can we appreciate how neat and steezy blake flicked those whips in 4:05
