Dara, this Chief Imam may be ruffling a few feathers in Yorubaland or may be considered impudent. My interpretation of what our Muslim compatriots in the southwest are reacting against is the fact that Yoruba tradition has been turned on its head. I'll say this to whoever cares to listen in Yorubaland: We haven't seen anything yet in our homeland and in Nigeria as a whole. The entire Nigerian society is fractured and experiencing anomie. At the national level, accession to the highest office in the land is often rigged. So also, the choice of who to enthrone as Oba in Yorubaland is no longer transparent and strictly traditional.

Thank you very much. The imam was being factual. The king supposed to be the king of all religion but his actions shows he is anti-islam. In Imam's speech he said the king himself said he has confirmed that he is truly a son of Ayilara but cannot give him 100% based on assessment because he doesn't give out full mark. So, the issue of Imam should be left for Alfas in the two to decide not the king!
