He didn't re-title it. That video was always called that from the beginning and a lot of people were mad at him, calling it click-bait. But in reality, he just willed that into existence. He was definitely my favorite of all the ones i watched. Everybody else I saw (even the videos with hundreds of thousands of views) were good, but boring. Primus had put in their request that they wanted somebody with a unique aesthetic and he definitely had a unique style, both visually and with his playing style. But, I didn't ever think he'd actually make it because he was such an unknown. It's really cool that Primus didn't care about view count or how popular the guy was. They just went with a really cool drummer that fit their style completely.

John Hoffman is such a fvcking bad-ass! I can't fvcking wait to hear them play with John on Drums! His band "Dirtfoot" opened up for PRIMUS several times, & he was my favorite part of that band. Once I heard the new & realized it was the drummer from Dirtfoot, I freaked out. I'm fvcking excited!!! PRIMUS IS BACK YOU BASTARDS! -

I've never met John, but his younger brother is a fairly renowned DM drummer, who I played a show with when he was touring in a Mexican DM band called Rottenness. I'm also originally from Shreveport, so this is really cool to me.

I'm not impressed. I think this is a bad call on Primus' part. He is a very linear and sterile drummer. Primus' music has many up and downs, hard and soft, fast and slow parts. He's playing the beat but not the song. Playing a music instrument is much more than playing the beat or the chord. You have to play the song. I'm not hearing that from his drumming.
