Being "the face of the NBA" isn't the same as being the best player. Jokic is the best player right now but he isn't the face of the NBA, he will never be, and he doesn't want to be. In order to be the face you need to have a spectacular style of play, you need a personality that stands out and, obviously, you need to be one of the best players.

Im firmly on the belief that bucher doesnt like ant. There is a case that Wemby could become the face someday, but hard to talk about him yet considering his team was worst in the west, and then he said the spurs actively were holding back to secure another lottery pick. like bro, they just werent good enough. Joy, TJ, and James don’t watch Spurs games because if they did they would had known the situation the Spurs are in, they rebuilding and it takes time to rebuild especially when you just drafted a generational talent like Wemby. Shows like this, First Take, Undisputed, First Things First. You name the show they are all guilty of it. They all force the narrative and the topics they discuss every single show based entirely on analytics and minute by minute viewership numbers. These shows are too cowardly to take a step back to push another team or player that deserves it because they are afraid the numbers will take a dive. Maybe they wont be as strong as it is when talking about the Lakers or Cowboys, Dak or LeBron, KD and Steph. But while trying to hold onto that false sense of security in the analytics and numbers. Every single sports talk show and media personality fails the rest of the NBA astronomically.
