@@pato6484 a lot actually. Secured freedoms. Grew out economy to middle income. Ensured separation of powers between the three arms of government. Gave us one of the highest growing GDP in the world, and overall freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc etc. if these are not your values, why would you want our countries to combine into one sh*t hole of Africa? Get out of here

@ndalisoxozwa3279 Talk is cheap. How hard could it be to take over a weak landkocked land? That is easy. Now for the reality that the population has to live through... Like the other landlocked area that had a recent coup...Niamey. What is the plan and where is the competent budget to implement the plan that shall improve the quality of life for the entire population? The question is rhetorical as there clearly is no competent plan and no competent budget. Narcissistic despots are a plentiful and the suffering is much. The coup implementors routinely prove rhey are not serious and cannot be taken seriously. Coups: 4 Progress: 0 Bamako Conakry Ouagadougou Niamey Paris thieves out. Moscow thieves in. Debt trappers from Beyjing waiting for their turn. As.for the matter at hand in Bamako, Conakry, Oaugadougou, and Niamey... Not a president A soldier took over by force. What is the plan for the greater good? Paris out. Fine. What is the plan? Keep the UN, WORLD BANK IMF Moscow, DC, Beyjing, and WAGNER out too.. What is the plan? Bamako, Ouagadougou , and Niamey are landlocked. What is the plan? Conakry was smart enough to get rid of the CFA.. The rest of you coup implementors still using the CFA from Paris as your currency. They still control hku through your currency idiots. What is plan? You clowns took over by force and that was the easy part. How hard could it be when your populations.are severely uninformed and you help keep them that way. What is the budget for the implementation of any plan for the greater good? Shaking your fist and running your mouth nonstop, especially on camera is meaningless, pointless, worthless. What is the plan? No plan and no competent budget makes these soldiers the newest narcissistic despots in a uniform. Speaking of despots... That Brussels lapdog in Kigali routinely crosses into DRC to steal the coltan and diamonds for their masters in Brussels. Those clowns have to go also. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWSoaIqImqaYabs

As a malian, I’m proud of Ibrahim Troare! Damiba didn’t do what he promised, especially with France! Today Troares has a millitary cooperation with Mali 🇲🇱 and Niger 🇳🇪. When Assimi of Mali came to power, France refused to asisst. Same in Burkina Faso simply because we wanted different partners! And they call it anti french sentiment! 🤨 It’s anti french sentiment because france is selfish, and wants to cling itself on us and doesn’t want us to have other partners.

You can count on more brutality that is certain. The price will be high.

@@beverlymarsh5374In some countries what you say is true but even in those civilian leaders rarely tell their trained military leaders how to accomplish an objective. And the big difference is that, while Sankara had not a single other nation on the side of Burkina Faso, this time the fire is catching on. @@octobersky9639 Sankara’s aims were the “democratic and popular revolution” to be primarily concerned with the tasks of eradicating corruption, fighting environmental degradation, empowering women, and increasing access to education and health care, with the larger goal of liquidating imperial domination. During the course of his presidency, Sankara successfully implemented programs that vastly reduced infant mortality, increased literacy rates and school attendance, and boosted the number of women holding governmental posts. On the environmental front, in the first year of his presidency alone 10 million trees were planted in an effort to combat desertification. On the first anniversary of the coup that had brought him to power, he changed the country’s name from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso, which means roughly “land of upright people” in Mossi and Dyula, the country’s two most widely spoken indigenous languages. He ultimately wanted to be rid of France’s leeching and hold on Francophone Africa

A year or so ago I was stationed at a hospital in country neighboring Burkina Faso. A badly injured patient was brought to the center. Before performing surgery I noticed something peculiar about the one who brought the patient. He was very calm , stood straight and had a keenly observant eye. I asked if he was an army officer but he denied. He was very supportive of the injured patient. A few weeks ago I saw him again - President of Burkina Faso. There was something about him!

Not always: there's also many old revolutionaries and young sheeps. But yes: youth must lead the revolution, some good elder can advice and council on some aspects where experience can make a difference.
