Here's my tip don't know if this helps but does for me... peel the onions cut It half n get a bowl of water n put the onions in leave for 2 mins take it out then cut it in pieces n that's help to stop getting tears in yr eyes . 😊👍.

Oooooo I don't know about using the chili packet and all those spices. You are supposed to use one or the other. The chili packet is so you don't have to use your own spices. Or people do their own spices so they don't use prepackaged seasoning.

Use a pair of safety glasses for cutting onions! A friend gave me the idea by suggesting sunglasses mockingly. I have very sensative eyes and sunglasses aren't safe to use while cutting anything. Safety glasses!

Spritz your cutting board and knife with white vinegar and it will help with the onions. I usually use my mini food processor to dice my onion

We cook our onions and garlic first as well then add the meat, well that’s what I do 😂 I like to brown off the onions first

When you cook the meat, add the onions to it! Gives it a better flavor. And drain the meat!

I used to use a whole thing of crackers also but now that I'm older my body can't handle the carbs like it used to so I've had to cut back but instead of just cutting back on the crackers I just cut back on the amount of chili that I eat because I have to have everything all soaked up with crackers and then some!

Glad someone else brought this up. The only time mine blinks is after the power went out, it's meant as a notification to that fact. All they have to do is press a button to get it to stop... but i guess it doesn't bother them.
