I've got no problems with ppl having other players than MJ as their favorite player. But the "Greatest" player and the "Best" player are same. Some fan of another player other than MJ tried to create that talking point to allow them to pick their favorite player as the best, but that isn't how it works. Lebron's strengths have been manufactured for most of his career. The reason I say this is because he had MJ's blueprint to follow, whereas MJ created the blueprint. Don't get me wrong, MJ did mold his game off of many other players. Most notably including Dr. J early on, but he evolved into himself. Bron started with MJ's Blueprint, then saw Boston's big Three and decided to create Superteam MIA. Later on he saw how Westbrook got so popular with the Trip dubs, and he changed his came to manufacture Trip dubs and gain the same praise. Bron manufactured his way to the Finals because he's had the only superteam in the East and has always had elite players around him since MIAMI. That is a fact. MJ didn't have that advantage. MJ's EAST was stacked like how the WEST today is stacked. MJ never had another player beside him who had averaged close to 30 points a game. Pippen's best year he averaged 22 ppg, and that was the year MJ was playing baseball. Lebron rests on defense in favor of stat padding the offense. When you look at his numbers, his assist went up more after Westbrook's 2017 MVP Season. Westbrook made Trip Dubs the most glorified stat, and ever since Lebron followed that blueprint to manufacture Trip Dubs. Why Lebron always resting below the rim on defense? Because he is getting those easy rebounds that fall in his lap from missed 3s. Why Lebron holds the ball so long and make late passes? Late passes force his teammates to shoot and those translate into assists when made. Westbrook is more aggressive, but he also does that too. A lot of today's players benefit from the wide open lanes, and the fact you can't touch nobody driving because that head hesitation while attempting to score makes the refs give the offensive player then "AND ONE." How many times Lebron flops and gets to the line? How many times Lebron rests on defense and the rest of his team is playing 4 on 5 on the other side of the court without him? All of this matters. When you are talking about the "Best" it all matters. If you are a GM, do you want a player how is going all out every game and playing a full 82, or you want a guy that picks and chooses when he wants to play, and takes load management rest days when healthy even against your arch rivals? Think about? MJ was an excellent passer, but when you pass to guys like Luc Longley , Brad Sellers, Stacey King, etc. who would blow a layup, those would be assists won't count. Now Bron passing to AD, Kyrie, Dwade or Bosh, he's gonna have assists. When you have better players around you your assist opportunities increase. You have to realize that Scottie Pippen wasn't an allstar when he joined MJ and the Bulls. He was a rookie coming off the bench scoring 7.9ppg. If Bron had Scotie Pippen as a rookie, he would have had the team trade him in a package for an allstar. That is the weak non-competitive mentally of Lebron's Superteam era. When Bron joined the Lakers, he had BI and Kuzma scoring 18 ppg ea. MJ never had that. It took Scottie 3 years practicing with MJ to develop into that All-star. He wasn't given allstar tandems to play with like a BOSH/WADE or a KRYIE/LOVE. That all matters. Put Bron in MJ's era without a superteam and see what would happen. Team's like the Badboys getting in his head and tossing his floppin self to the ground. See how many games he'd win against Larry's 5 HOF Celtics team. Now put MJ in this era with the wide open lanes, the defense can't touch him, and the multitude of three point shooters to pass to on his drives. We would be witnessing a player averaging 45 to 48 ppg. It would that insane.

LeBron fans use this argument every time! So when he put it context it makes prefect since about LeBron only being able to shoot within 0-3 feet. And when suing footage of LeBron lack of defense he use just as many Cavs footage as he did Lakers footage. And I will never for the life of me understand how you pick Jordan as the GOAT but would pic LeBron to start your your 1st pick? 🤣 That so assbackwards. You don't know that when Jordan started at the PG for 11 games he had a triple double in 10 of those games? And his Rookie season he lead the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals & blocks? He seemed too have pained you to mention Jordan as the GOAT at the end of the video, so with that being said you might as well call yourself a LeBron fan at the end of the day. Being the juggernaut is better. It means you are the strongest on each season game and you maintained it. Warriors couldn't do a 3peat. They could have had 4peat if tthey didnt lose. Beating a juggernaut means you go lucky.

I disagree with the peak argument. Yes he's put up good numbers and played well for a long time but his real peak wasn't 16 years. There's a mile between his mid 20s and his 30s. And his best to worse seasons. His game devolved. Jordan dominated from game 1 till he was 35. He evolved when he had to. I can still give him longevity though. Also, games score isn't just points. It's adding up stats to get a better understanding of performance.

if you think MJ couldn't play pass-first-lebron style ball, you need to watch when MJ played point guard for the end of a season....10 triple doubles in 11 games and almost averaged a double double while still scoring 30+points...he could pass if he was asked to... he also avg 11.4 assists in the 1991 finals, more than any other player besides Magic (12.4) and Magic only scored 18.6ppg where MJ still avg 31.2ppg in those finals...so yeah, give me MJ for assists and scoring over Lebron. let's see how MJ does when he's asked to play like Lebron and pass as a point guard: MJ as a point guard performed at an elite level: 1988/89 season Moved Jordan from shooting guard to point guard 1st game = 15 ast 2nd game = 21pts, 14ast, 14reb in 30min playing time because they were up so high...had a shot at the 20/20/20 game if he played the entire game final 24 games as point guard: 30.4ppg 9.2rpg 10.7ast 2.5spg 49.8%fg% 7 straight triple doubles 10 triple doubles in 11 games the one game he didn't get a triple double: 40pts 11ast 7reb 61.1%fg% another notable point guard game: 34pts 17ast (career high) 7reb 6s 50% over a 12 game stretch MJ had 10+ assists Oscar R, Westbrook, Hardin, Kidd never had a streak longer MJ was great at point guard and played like one of the best as he still played perimeter defense (3rd overall in steals per game that season, and 1st team all D, 5th def winshares, 1st def +/-, 5th for DPOY) lost to the Pistons in the finals...fired the coach (collins) and got Phil Jackson and the triangle offense ended the MJ point guard experiment...but he performed as only MJ does...as a TOP TIER point guard! For that season: MJ as a shooting guard (57 games) 33.4ppg, 7.6rpg, 6.9apg, 55.4 MJ as a point guard (24 games) 30.4ppg, 9.2rpg, 10.7apg, 49.8% Notice the increase in assists that people claim MJ can't do? Look at MJs assists for his career: YR AST 1984-85 481 1985-86 53 1986-87 377 1987-88 485 1988-89 650 1989-90 519 1990-91 453 1991-92 489 1992-93 428 1994-95 90 1995-96 352 1996-97 352 1997-98 283 2001-02 310 2002-03 311 his assists were always 300-350-480....except, notice that 650 in there? well, that's when he played point guard...so proof that MJ can be a passer and STILL SCORE 30+ per game!!! and check out his triple doubles: 1984-85 NBA 3 1987-88 NBA 2 1988-89 NBA 15 1989-90 NBA 1 1991-92 NBA 2 1992-93 NBA 4 1996-97 NBA 1 see that 15 stuck in there? that was his point guard experiment where he had almost as much as Lebron's season high (18) playing only 24 games as point guard...imagine how many he'd have playing all 82 games as point guard... MJ has a 27-2 playoff rec...including this insane series 1997 playoff run MJ BULLS 31.1ppg 1st 7.9reb 2nd(behind Rodman by 10...yes, only 10) 4.8ast 1st 1.6stl 1st 0.9blk 1st 6ft6in shooting guard led the Bulls in every catagory but rebounds...and that was to Rodman by 10reb

Blocks and steals are mostly because of you. Assist and rebound is because of position and the other person converting it to assist.
