Great video mate, you got yourself a new subscriber. And well done with researching through the records because majority of us who knows three kingdoms only percieve that time through Romance view. I would like to know how you do your research so you could research Zhou Yu with these kind of records. And could you please spoil us on who will you cover next? XD that would be greatly appreciated thx.

Thanks for the support. I get my information from a few webistes like three states records .com and 3K fun facts tumblr. But the main one is wikipedia which really helps for locating the towns/counties/provinces etc that have been renamed and reformed throughout the years. I cannot guarentee its 100% accurate as with all history but i do care deeply about this and try my best to get it right. I also google the chinese characters for the name then view the foreign wikipedia as there are sometimes little stories that are missed out. Next Sunday will be Xu You, i really want to do a video on the yellow turban rebellion/The Taoist movement and somebody has also asked for Zhuge Dan so theyre the priority. Also there is Li Yan, Li Feng, Wu Jing, Sun Ben coming up and ANOTHER man named Zhou Yu with his 2 brothers that id like to explore.

And would like to suggest to maybe watch Serious Trivia since he also like to cover 3K topics while playing 3K games like Total War: 3K or even ask him if you want to know where is his sources from. But, he's kinda get a leg up from you i think because he's chinese and able to read records that maybe hasn't yet translated or you able to read mandarin too lol hahahha. Anyway, my point is check out Serious Trivia. :)

Thats a great idea i think. One day i will do a what if? series and look at hypothetical things like this; what if Cao Cao recruited Lu Bu? What if Sun Ce lived and allied with Yuan Shao? What if Guan Yu did not empty Jing and campaign northwards?

The cotner portrait is from Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII. ROTK 14 has a different picture of him wearing Lu Bu style head tassels. The rest is from Dynasty warriors (8,9)

In Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Zhou Yu hates Zhuge Liang’s guts simply due to the fact that Zhuge Liang is smarter than him and the latter managed to outsmart Zhou Yu at every turn during the whole plan by Zhou Yu and Wu to take Jing Province from Liu Bei, even to the point of using Sun Shangxiang as Liu Bei’s bride to seize Liu Bei and use him as leverage to bring back Jing Province to Wu With Zhuge Liang outsmarting him at every turn, Zhou Yu ends up dying, broken and desperate

Yea yea we all know this version n its bollocks, made to glorify kong ming when in reality hes not that good, battle of bowang not kongmings idea, borrowing bows also not kongming but zhou yu, south eastern wind is hocus pocus, red cliff all zhou yu n huang gai. Kongming made 5 northern expedition n failed all. Hes more of a civic administrator than a war strategist. At no way in hell is zhuge better than zhou yu. Zhou yu is just not blessed with a long life.😭

If yoi refer to "Romance of the Three Kingdom", then yes, zhuge liang is "smarter". But if it's the official "Record of the three kingdoms", then no.
