Basically: If you could know the starting position and momentum of every particle in the universe, you could then trace it's path backward, and predict it's trajectory forward, and thus would know both the past and the future of the universe. Obviously, this task is impossible, and would require an absurd amount of calculation, not to mention an infinite amount of time to perform theses calculations. So the "being" capable of observing all of these calculations would be "Laplace's demon." It's an idea of determinism, and entails that "free will" is only an illusion, as--with everything being predetermined--every outcome, and decision was destined to happen as soon as the big bang occurred. I know very little about La+. But her name alone immediately made me interested when she debuted.

A little bit of explanation about Laplace's Demon: Laplace thought about a hypothetical being who knows the position of every single atom in the universe and the forces acting upon them. A being with that knowledge could technically calculate where every single atom would go as time goes on, effectively knowing every single thing that will happen in the future until the end of the universe. If you know every single thing that will happen in the future, then everything is deterministic. Free will doesn't mean anything if every single thing in the future is calculable. And it is widely believed that God gave his creations free will. Therefore, the hypothetical being that Laplace thought about should be the opposite of God. Thus, it was called Laplace's Demon. Laplace then had a bit of a Frankenstein situation in pop culture where his name is often associated with demons even though Laplace is just a scholar and Laplace's Demon is a concept he came up with. Kinda like how Frankenstein is a mad scientist and Frankenstein's Monster is his creation.

Thing is, Calli speaks Japanese really well, but can't really do "Janglish" very well. GURA, Gura can actually understand Miko EREET ENGREESU, and is over there smugly trying not to laugh while Calli suffers through this misunderstanding. Also in case no one heard, Laplus was wanting to rap Calli and be in charge, as well as outpun Ina and be in charge. Her character is supposed to be super boorish but behind the scenes they said she's literally the most polite and adorable girl (aside from Ayame, who just plays herself). Really loved this series Nagzz, you guys are great fun to watch falling down the rabbit hole.

Speaking of "Earth", she was made a playable character (along with Pekora, Ina, and Kiara) in Valkyrie Connect and her element was earth instead of dark. I don't really know much about HoloX or Gen 6 since..well..12 hour work shifts make you lose every sense of time. I will say. I love Laplus's background music. It's amazing. And after listening to all of HoloX's music and watching mainly clips of each member. I've noticed that they are all extremely talented yet unique to themselves in a good way. It feels so different watching each member as there own unique talent rather than as a group of talents. Best way I can describe it is like watching those boy bands like NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, or today's scene like BTS. You see them as a group of individual talents working together to make something like when I watch the majority of Hololive talents. Yet with HoloX, it's like One Direction in a way. It's a group of unique talents that were formed into a group and work well as a group of talents as well. ..... I know it's a strange description, but it definitely feels different and I think it's in part a combination of Vtubers becoming more mainstream. And not only is it the fact that Hololive and Nijisanji are international in a sense. But it's the large number of indie Vtubers as well that have shot up or formed a group like VShojo. Along with the community scene from clippers and artists becoming bigger themselves. I'd say right now there is definitely a golden age for Vtubing right now. However, I'm just kinda scared to see what comes after or in the definite future from what has happened within the community with certain clippers and sadly with certain Vtubers who are now instantly on there own(looking at Hololive here). And seeing the direction it's going along with the large convention/concert Hololive held a while back. I just worry that this will become more like a machine and less an amazing creative outlet like everything is. Cause even KZbin was just a site where you could just post a video or project. And now it's a gigantic site with thousands of videos, shorts, and posts where community strikes against content creators reigns. Just a little worried is all cause I really like watching these amazing talents like Laplus and her music is fantastic.

Laplus is quite a surprisingly good singer, and maybe even a lyrical monster. Her first cover "Kamipoina" really highlights this, and I always felt the image Laplus used in the cover video represents her in an unleashed form. Also, I love Laplus because it reminds me of a certain cult leader character in Danganronpa. Her intro artstyle just screams where the artist drew the inspiration from, plus the similarities in her lore.

Regarding YMD turning into Yamada, it is not uncommon for Japanese names to be initialized with the first letter of each syllable. Ones that come to mind are Tanaka Mamimi from Idolm@ster being MMM and Hololive's own Fubuki often writing her name as FBK. This is that process in reverse, turning initials into a name, and an ironic one at that as Yamada uses the kanji for mountain when La+ is currently the smallest member of Hololive, being even smaller than Gura and firmly in Calli's YEETing parameters.

Yes My Dark = YMD = YaMaDa Aside from all the joke meaning of YMD, I believe chat also joked that she looked like the Kanji for Mountain, which is 山 (read as やま or yama), and だ(da) is the plain or casual form of desu(is, ot state of being) So Yamada is also a joke on "it's a mountain", 山だ, "it's 山", hence, yama da Also, HoloX, is horokusu, where roku means 6. It's kind of a pun I guess.

lore theory : someone put shackles on Laplus, and the crow on her head are the guardian (overseer) of those shackles. to make sure that the shackles never broken. the crow are created by / subordinate of the being that put shackles on Laplus. if ever HoloJp/En/Id have another gen, we will see the true lord of that crow. another holobird (crow). the lore would complete. *it's just a theory don't take it srsly*
