They are a band that plays hard rock, and the members are Christians but do not push there faith through there songs. The just try to have a positive message in their music. They started in the late 90's. Current members have been together 12 years. Ledger the drummer has her own release you would like her music as well. The lead singer and the rhythm guitar/keyboard player are married. John and Kory Cooper. Glad you enjoyed it Adogg. Other songs you would like is Legendary, Monster , Awake and Alive, Hero. Here are a few of the great Skillet Songs: Awake and Alive, Hero, Monster, Not Gonna Die, Legendary, and their new song that came out a couple weeks ago Surviving the Game. The Girl Drummer is Jen Ledger. She joined the band when she was around 18 years old. She is a great singer. In fact she has her own side band called Ledger. A couple of my favorites from them are Not Dead Yet, Completely, and My Arms

The background screams by John are absolutely sick. I love it when he screams. Forsaken, Surviving The Game, Hero (live), The Resistance, and Reach all have fantastic screams. But if you want some really good heavy stuff, check out John Cooper's side project, "Fight The Fury".

Skillet started back in 1996. Since they've been around they've had 3 different drummers. A man for the their first 3 albums and 2 different women since then. The lead singer's wife joined them for their third album Invincible. John Cooper, the lead singer of the band is the only original band member. Also, they've had 4 different guitarists not counting Cooper's wife Korey. John Cooper has another band he started recently, they're called Fight the Fury. The current drummer Jen Ledger has her own solo career that she's been working on recently as well. She's just know as Ledger for that. Anyway, the next song you should find by them is Save Me if you haven't already listened or reacted to it. Hope you enjoy it. Skillet is my favorite band.

Skillet's been my favorite band for a super long time. Some songs I'd recommend checking out are Monster, Hero, Whispers In The Dark, Legendary, Sick Of It, Surviving The Game, Circus For A Psycho, and Back From The Dead. You really can't go wrong with any of their stuff, but these are the highlights. They are a Christian band but they're known to tour with other bands that aren't Christian so they have a very diverse fanbase of both Christian and secular listeners

There’s a young woman named Elise Trouw that plays every instrument in her music, drums included. I discovered her watching her live looping videos. Quite talented indeed, while not worth a reaction video, still definitely worth watching. She has such a soft beautiful voice that feels very warm.

Great reaction... I see that a lot with Skillet (and was my own reaction, as well). A friend (who's friends with the band members) turned me on to them a year or so ago, and I'm completely hooked. :) It was funny, as he's a professor and I'd only heard him talk about classical and John Denver prior to him mentioning them on his podcast. I was like... a metal band?! So, I had to check them out. Yes, Jen is incredible! Trivia: John asked her to play Tom Sawyer by Rush for her tryout to join the band, and she nailed it. Kory and John have toured their entire married life. They have toured about as much as any other band, playing concerts all over the world. 12 time platinum. One of the top selling bands of the 21st century. I guess their song, Monster, holds some kind of streaming record w/ over 4B plays on Pandora. You really should check them out live. Going back to the 90s and now there is a massive difference. They're ability to adapt to the era of music they're in is unmatched honestly.

This is a trucking song from the 70s..where truckers are talking to each other on CB radio. Channel 1-9 is the channel they used. Each trucker has a "handle" and Rubber Duck" and "pig pin" are handles....Bears and Smokies are state patrols. Not sure what cities are Flag Town and Shaky town. Absolutely rocking band; the members are Christian and they sometimes get more openly religious, but mostly you can interpret their songs multiple ways. You can see the Christian perspective if you want to, or go with something else. I love that about them. You want to blow your mind, listen to "Sometimes" or "Circus for a Psycho". :)
