JIMMY Page saw HEART early in their career playing Led Zeppelin songs... he said that they were the only band that could cover his music good enough. He gave them permission to use Zeppelin songs anytime they wanted.

Heart has been playing great music since the 70's. Ann & Nancy Wilson are legends. They have even been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I just saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in LA in 2019. I met Ann and Nancy Wilson years ago in a little neighborhood nightclub in Seattle. They were just out having some fun. They sang a couple of songs while the band took a break. I had a drink with them and talked awhile. Such cool, down to earth women! Ann still has her incredible voice-singing to the back of the room past all those instruments and 2 choirs. She and Nancy are still amazing! Check out Heart doing Barracuda, Magic Man and Crazy on You. It's touching how much Led Zeppelin loved the tribute.

Dude if you get a chance you should listen to the whole Led Zeppelin tribute at Kennedy Center. Jack Black was host and besides Heart, had performances by Lenny Kravitz, Foo Fighters and Kid Rock. It was epic. But Heart’s performance will go down in history as one of the best covers ever. And to do it in front of Led Zeppelin, we’ll that’s just unbelievable. ❤️ the reaction!

This performance is a religious experience in my book, hearing it just makes me happy to be alive and so very grateful for these gifted and talented musicians. Fun fact, the Asian man in the audience who they briefly show closing his eyes while he enjoys the performance is Yo-Yo Ma, one of the best cellists in the world; we also see Bonnie Raitt rocking out - she's county western royalty. I love how this video shows how everyone can appreciate amazing music, and it transcends genre, age & race.

Heart has had a number of different members but the two constant are Ann (lead singer) and Nancy (guitarist) Wilson. They are sisters. They had many hits in the 70s and 80s. The drummer is Jason Bonham. He is the son of John Bonham, who was part of Led Zeppelin and died tragically of an OD. That was when they band stopped. The remaining musicians and choir are various people put together to create this masterpiece. This is in my opinion the greatest tribute cover to a band ever. It is near perfection and truly gives you goosebumps. Ann Wilson is one of the greatest lead singers ever (male or female). If you want to hear some of Heart's music listen to Barracuda, Crazy on You, Magic Man to start with. They were their earlier 70s hits.

The singer of Heart is Ann Wilson, her sister Nancy on Accoustic guitar were founded in Seattle in 1967. They originally played in Seattle, and Vancouver Canada. I am from Vancouver, and married a Jazz musician, Barrie and I were in recording studio when they were recording their early works. They were so talented, their back up band were originally two brothers that were dating the Wilson sisters. The back up musicians have changed and are very good. The Wilson sisters wrote many of their songs, sang songs written by others but the Unique sound of Ann Wilson was instantly recognizable to her fans. Ann as singer, Nancy on Fine 🎸Guitar were extremely talented and popular in the late 60s 70,s 80s. I have scene them live many times and they are Brilliant. Check out some songs like BARRACUDA, CRAZY ON YOU,WHAT ABOUT LOVE, KICK IT OUT, STRAIGHT ON, THESE DREAMS, MAGIC MAN, ALL I WANNA DO IS MAKE LOVE TO YOU, DREAMBOAT ANNIE, DOG AND BUTTERFLY, ALONE. Heart was one of the first groups I saw in concert when I was in high school. My twin sister and I were fans. They are a great band. Nancy Wison is the female guitarist. Heart has some great music! I think my favorite Heart album is “Dog and Butterfly”. There are many great songs on it!

This was an honorary award dedication for Zeppelins contribution to the music business. There were awards for others as well. You might want to watch the whole show because other artists did some other songs by Zeppelin and Jack Black who did the introduction was hysterically funny. The Kennedy awards always have the first family present. It has been a yearly tradition with the exception of 2016-2020 I’ll just leave at that!🤦‍♀️ John Bonham who was the original drummer and passed away was honored by his son Jason playing the drums. Also check out Celebration Day 07 full concert on KZbin. It was the last time Led Zeppelin got together. Jason of course played the drums back in 2007 with the rest of the band and he plays just like dad. Even Robert Plant said the he could feel John Bonham channel through Jason. They were just as good then as they were back in the day. Led Zeppelin was the best band ever from the 70s!😎

I have watched this performance so many times. I love it!! Led Zeppelin are in tearing up because they never expected to see John Bonham's, son, Jason, to be playing. It was a complete surprise. Led Zeppelin quite performing once John Bonham died. They only started playing again, together, once Jason came on the scene. Jason was always loved by all of his fathers friends. Heart has been around forever and are legends in their own right. When they were starting out in the 70's they often covered Zeppelin songs and usually did a Zeppelin song or two in their concerts once they hit it big on their own. They have had a solid relationship with the members of Zeppelin for years and have had their blessing to cover the songs. Ann is one of the most talented singers in the world and there would be a very short list of singers that could even be suggested to perform this song at a level near hers. Heart is huge Zeppelin fans and they showed it in the performance.

Heart has 21 Top 40 singles spanning four decades, and 7 Top 10 studio albums from the 70s through the 2010s. Heart's most famous song is called Barracuda, and they have a number of songs you would probably recognized that are hard rock classics. They also have a power ballad called "Alone" which also a classic. Heart, was influenced very heavily by Zeppelin. They've been known as female Led Zeppelin. Ann Wilson is the lead singer, her sister is Ann Wilson, a great guitar player!! These two were the female icons among men when I was growing up. They are epic!! You won't be disappointed in their music...Trust me on that!!
