I am 50 and a fan since 84. We knew this was coming when Brees would retire. Drew made everyone on the team better. We also knew we would probably take a hit when Payton stopped coaching. Well we got it back to back years. Winning fixes everything and if they do people will support. I think if Loomis came out at the end of the season, and said. We kicked the can to win while we had a chance. We are now past our prime, we have a 3 or 4 year plan to fix the cap. Here is what we want to do. I wish they would try and fix the 0-line in the 25 draft. Then I say see what you have with the young quarterbacks. They would probably win 3 games and be able to draft a franchise QB if one is available. We have a one percent chance the QB is in the building. I think if they have a starting O-line and get a good QB with a big receiver to compliment Olave and Shaheed. Maybe draft a running back in 25-26. Then in 27 focus on defense get the cap straight and see what you need to compete in free agency. Even if drafting a QB doesn't work out. You can probably sign a good QB if you have the line, and weapons. I know it never works out that way. We will probably have another 7 years before they figure something out. You know it's getting bad when you are talking about the draft in week 9. Plus having a multiple year plan. People are mad and rightly so, but we knew this was coming, and I don't think the 30 plus year fans are surprised. I think Mickey doesn't think the fans know anything. Probably has something to do with people wanting Brees and Payton fired anytime they didn't make the playoffs. Especially since they were the reason the Saints won 7 games. Just time to try a new approach. I think people would appreciate the honesty and hearing a plan to correct the team 😊. That's my fantasy take and solution. I know my place is on the couch watching the game while eating gumbo or bbq 😊

@charlescomeauxjr9037 Beautifully stated. Exactly where we're at. I agree on all of it. I'd love to try and build up some draft capital. You never know. Maybe in a few years, we can package picks and get Arch. 🤔

@rosenfield10 Man I just watched AFR. They were talking about the no call. That to me is what's really making the situation so terrible. They should have played for a championship. All the can kicking worked, and you know what didn't happen. Unfortunately the NFL doesn't say we screwed you, so we are going to help with the cap. It wouldn't be so frustrating right now if they wouldn't have been cheated. Ah well welcome to being a real Saint fan.
