The theory of muraaat creating titans have one flaw - mursaat tried to rid titans as they were afraid of the profecy in which titans are the instrument of mursaat demise.
@Aerali2 ай бұрын
@@HyldenLord While true, this prophecy was fulfilled over 250 years ago. So, at this point their "rivalry" or whatever you would want to call it doesn't exist anymore. Since the fulfillment of the Flameseeker Prophecies the 2 have really no relation to one another.

I did some readup on the mursaat lore in secrets of the obscure, Mabon talks about how the mursaat are native to Nayos. Mabon talks about a female voice, with a golden mask (so possible a mursaat), could she be Ura? making titans to take revenge on seers and kryptis?

I do have questions about them. In gw1 they where made by The Fury, a minion of Dhuum, and we know Dhuum is still alive. but my biggest question is why do they have 4 legs and not 3. Also, they maybe sucking the souls out of the bloodstone to gain access to tormented souls to make more.
@AeraliАй бұрын
@@ElysiaWhitemoonOmega I think the 4 legs might just be a design choice. I'm not sure how much we can really read into that. And perhaps they are sucking the souls out but that is also never exclusively said though you bring up a good point. Perhaps they are trying to create more Titans/ try to help whomever to create more. We still don't know much about their motivations or how they were created whether it really was the foundry or something else.
@ElysiaWhitemoonOmegaАй бұрын
@@Aerali i really hope its not a design choice, and that the story will actually explane the change, as the three legs was a big part of their unique design, as so far all the other lore associated with the titans is still correct. personally i wasnt really hyped for the expansion, because janthir has alot of lore attached. and we know from previous expansions (path of fire) that anet can butcher the existing lore. i really hope anert is not going the disney route

Wow, nice guesses! I don't second the theory that the Mursaat are behind their creation, since some of the texts around the maps hints at the fact that they were against each other...guess we'll see if they were outright liars! Interesting trivia: Legavo in Italian means "I was tying" or "I was bonding"...could it always have been a hint to its function of tying the will of creatures from the mists? based on which translation you choose, it could be a 2 way interaction, instead of a total control of the objective...don't know about other languages tho
@Aerali2 ай бұрын
@@MusPuiDiTe I know the Titans and Mursaat were always pitted against each other, but I think that was mostly in the context of the Flameseeker Prophecies which fortold of the the Mursaat losing to the Titans because of the opening of the Door of Komalie. I don't think that the 2 are natural enemies. It just seems odd to me that we have a lot of hints to Mursaat things and actually Mursaat still existing somewhere and we have talk of Titans. I guess my hope is that the big reveal is really just Mursaat pulling the Titans string which surprises everyone including Isgarren. Btw I still want to see Legavo being used. I find it weird that we rely on bloodstone during the story but are too afraid to use Legavo. I think bloodstone has killed more people than the scepter. Just saying.
@Aerali2 ай бұрын
@@MusPuiDiTe and that translation could hint more to what the actual function of Legavo is. Besides "controlling" Titans it seems too important to just have this function. I hope it gets a cool reveal though.

I think that the Titans come from a non Tyria Dimension as the Kryptis do and are calling themselves Godspawns could mean that they are most likely a race created by god(s). We know that Humans came to Tyria by the power of the (Human) Gods because their dimension before is not inhabitable for them anymore. What if the Titans are the power that made the prior dimension inhabitable?

Ura = Uranus = Aether. You think that Ura is child of Cosmos? It would mean that there are two unknown Gods in game's universe: Cosmic God of Mists and Earth Goddess of Planet. @@Aereton hmmm interesting thought! While she is said to be a titan multiple times by our character as well as people like Isgarren, we don't actually have 100% proof.
