I almost forgot Zach and I were on this show 7 or 8 years ago. There is so much more to that story that isn’t told. We both ended up making our way. I went into the tech space and I believe Zach runs a roofing company that does pretty well these days. You’re never down and out, just making adjustments until you find what your looking for. Overall, it was an incredibly valuable experience. It all worked out.

@@mthomas1443 they did say they were 20. From the vantage point of my 60 plus years, I remember the idealistic foolishness that I got up to when I was 20. I have seen my own children with similar foolishness and are now emerging on the other side with good sense. I know some people have it heard from their teens and have to rush out and made their way in the world with no room for mistakes but that doesn't stop me from wishing they too had had a chance to be kids as well.

IN MY VIEW If I understood correctly, Judge Judy said both these guys were 20 years-old. The businesses they started failed but both guys have 'Entrepreneur' written all over them. They never once called themselves victims for taking business risks.They don't know what failure is, only lessons and staying focused. I wish both business success.

@@venska9 I agree the right partnership could be beneficial, but the odds are not in your favor. Even large corporations fail in mergers more often than they succeed. I see it first hand as an investment banker in the M&A space for over 25 years. They have a lot of resources to vet their partners, and still fail a majority of the time.

@chopkong I can't comment on large mergers. All I can comment on is starting a business from scratch. I've got 3 that I'm running and my success is only down to the team of people committed to a common vision. I would of failed years ago if I tried to be a one man army. I look at this being like investing in the stock market, more people lose money than make it. But if you can control your emotions and have a system then you start to move the odds more in your favour.

Each partner has a different perspective, impression and expectation that are not congruent or not communicated effectively with their partners, thus, creating confusion, mistrust, frustrations, etc. In other words, they don't see "eye-to-eye".

I think the issue was that they hadn't kept good business records (the plaintiff had implied earlier that he wasn't even sure how much money he had put into the business - just knew it was more than $600). If you don't keep good business records, it's gonna be really hard to be able to sue for the value of cigars.

I don't think the defendant was very bright. He clearly took the tablets and cigarettes and even took money out of his business associate's pockets. And I believe the plaintiff when he says he put more into the business then the defendant. The defendant had every intention to profit off the plaintiff. He didn't want the plaintiff to have the tablets and stole the cigars + 100$. He couldn't it as an employee, much less an entrepreneur.

I hope that next time he goes into business he keeps a better record of how much money he's putting in and where it goes go. Kinda like you're going to live together and you're buying stuff. Allways keep record of what you're purchasing and who it belongs to. Money is way too important to just be thrown away like that. And when it comes to money: trust nobody else with your own money, not even your best friend. It's the only way of keeping your legs on dry land.
