The title is a bit ironic. The term ‘horsepower’ was given to us by James Watt, as a means to compare steam power to the output of a draft horse in a grain mill. His equation appears to have been entirely fictional based on a very recent experiment where an actual draft horse was harnessed to a dynamometer (dyno). I think this steam cycle could be used by steam punks to take over a town and make everyone cower before their nerdiness. Cosplay, outlaw manga, Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. Complete geek chaos.

Fun fact: there was a huge fad of converting motorcycles to run on other things than gas, during ww2 due to fuel shortages. Some were actually converted to run on steam.

That's CRAZY ! Steam Engine Explosions can be violently lethal. They can shred steel. If you've ever seen one, you'd never ride on a steam engine.

The DMV is already taxing me more for having a VW Jetta because it gets 35mpg. It pisses me off. Then they want us to get rid of the 5.9l truck, but it is so old that I pay no tax on it

@glockboa_9236 22 күн бұрын
@@SlickArmor that’s a steam engine. There was an inventor who invented a car to run on H2O. There is a difference between a steam engine(water converted into steam) and a engine that runs on water(tank fills up with water and it was capable of running on water) He was killed and the videos was scrubbed from the web. Try to look it up and see what u can find. Good luck bro

I looked into what it takes to convert a gas engine to steam and while it's possible, you get huge horse power lost. I think you max around 1/4hp of the stock engine it's based off of. You also need a different camshaft to get the timing right. I stopped looking into it when I realized I don't have the equipment to do the job, but now I'm thinking one of those air compressor kits for a air cooled vw engine might work.

@@DuamerthraxIs that when you use the stock engine block as a base? What if you strip the car down to its body, then build like what this guy did?
