Women who are trying to woo a rich husband/prospect don't act like that. I have known a couple golddiggers in my time, and they flatter, flirt, act adoring, trying to get in the guy's heart (and pocket), or they are alluring/seductive and pay rivetting attention to the guy. Of course, some guys like to be ill-treated (hence there are men who are subs or M's or pay for dominatrices), but that's a small minority. He seems pretty cheerful and goofy/awkward, and she's got serious I can't be bothered to be nice face--and notice how often even when people are uncomfortable with Yuta, they try to be polite or nice, a sorta Japanese courtesy thing--she doesn't even fake the courtesy. She seems pissed, really. She contradicts or abruptly cuts him off. She's not wooing him or babying or flirty with him. That's not a gal trying to catch a shining mealticket.
@will9001asd2 жыл бұрын
For me (a guy) at least for the first date, I try to pay for it 100% of the time. I try not to waste time putting up flair or an act so they are interested and try to be myself very accurately. Try to gauge if they like me for me or not. If we're not well compatible, then the price of the date was the cost for someone to give me a chance. If they really like me then how they respond to me paying and who would pay the next date is worth reflecting on and thinking about their character.

RougeNinja Actually there is mostly based on different texts made in the Renaissance and if you are religious by some saints, it has a set of rules and goals to achieve most of them are very strict and some can be passed on modern terms others take more work. Just because you haven't heard of it or don't have experience with it doesn't mean it is inexistent mate, paying for everything goes inside it while actually "law" wouldn't be the word for it (code is most likely) I have always knew it as that since childhood, all males from my town have been educated by it with the inclusion of religious education for generation so it is basically a law by now.
@Thunterise7 жыл бұрын

@finalform49714 жыл бұрын
It seems like it's less based on personality of the individual. Last couple though yeah... she just straight up said 'he pays', no hesitation. Such a straight face too. She's the type 'if you don't pay, I'll find someone else whom does'. Which I mean, some guys are willing to pay entirely. But it's a slippery slope regarding how the lifestyle of the relationship will pan out.
@ThePurpleKnightmare7 жыл бұрын
Too much focus on which gender pays, the way I see it, the one who proposes the date is the one that should pay. If someone asked me out on a date I'd expect they would pay, and I wouldn't ask someone out on a date if I didn't have full intention of paying. There are cases of like "We should hang out sometime" "Yea how about ____" where it's like both parties wanted the "date" to go through in which case the one who chooses the location might pay or they might split it or something like that, but mostly, the one who wants it more pays.
@Aokaimusic5 жыл бұрын
But vast majority of girls pretty much never ask out a guy out... So your approach, while sound in theory, would lead to vast majority of men being required to pay for the meal. I agree with your approach IF there was equal expectations on both girls and guys to ask the other out on a date. That just doesn't happen though, girls have the advantage here.

Women always pay for half in Japan unless you're a push-over or are a sugardaddy who's dating a chick half his age. The only time I've ever volunteered to pay for the entire date was when I was going steady with a girl and knew she didn't have cash because she was in school. But first date? Half half. I don't understand why we still cling to that bullshit in the English-speaking world. Isn't insisting on paying for a woman subtly suggesting that she's inferior to you? It's funny how feminists don't screech bloody-murder about the inequalities that benefit them.

Men usually pay more but I think that's because it's easier for men to work so traditionally men have had more financial stability than women but if she is working it seems you should split it unless 1 makes an excessive amount more than the other.

at least is good seeing a lot of japanese couples in the street. So many videos or articlles saying japanese doesn´t date make us ppl from another side of the world belive most japanese are weird. good to know Japan is normal.

Western media likes to report negative and exaggerated news about Japan. The Love Hotel industry in Japan is worth $60 billion a year so that`s a proof that a lot of Japanese are dating.

There are a lot of leftist media outlets that are owned by western media. A lot of them will deny it but some know that the west have a grip in japan news outlets. These leftists media only reports negative things. If you have media in your country then you know those media types that only reports negative stuff to politicians they don`t like. A lot of leftists doesn`t like PM Abe so they report that japan is doomed to embarrass him. Leftists are shameless because japan`s economy is actually doing well and maintained a 94% employment for college grads. If you think that japan is sexless then how can you explain the $60 billion Love Hotel industry, cheating epidemic and rise to STD ? The japanese government even had to promote the use of protection cuz a lot of teens might get STD.

Why do you feel bad, don't you want him to pay? So in the end, are you fooling him or yourself?

I think it's always fair to split no matter the gender or how long they've been together. That's unless whatever they're paying for is a gift or a treat, then it's whoever said so. In some cases, I do agree that if one doesn't have any money or is too low on funds, the other should pay by curtesy. Sometimes its good just to pay for what "you" ordered so you aren't going half on a total of a lobster dish and a soup and sandwich. Idk, it depends on the situation, but 9/10 I go for splitting.

There are a lot of pauses before answering this question. Also, from what I can interpret the woman are like "Your paying right" or giving some type of gesture to the guys their on a date with. The last couple though it seems like that guy pays for everything.
