I would say that it has the same style as aventus , but they are not one and the same. The EDT is a lot more old school, while the EDP is modern and softer than the classic.

About you not liking the fragrances from Michael Kors. Michael Kors Holdings did buy up Versace around 2017-2018 (announced September 2018) and then proceeded to chance their name to Capri Holdings. It's worth mentioning that they own Jimmy Choo too, but the first Atelier Versace fragrances got released in 2019. As the whole line seems like a cashgrab, which cheap brands rely heavy on. Because Versace were conservative about releasing fragrances in the past, but now they seem to release a new fragrance pretty often So the Atelier Versace fragrances does only exist because of Michael Kors. Michael Kors has a reputation for being a cheap brand, and this was likely one of the reasons for why they changed the name.
