As an American, I can assure you that a bicameral chamber of legislative is a nightmare. Almost all the time, the Senate and House belong to different parties and nothing happens- including the basics like stimulus checks during the pandemic. Americans are left stranded while our "representatives" squabble in circles.

@@w8mpx667 even worse here, people are generally more ignorant and most the few people in the know how still dont really know whats up or dont do much about it, NZ is not a democracy, we dont even have a constitution so our rights are on papper and have no legal backing, the police can come into your home without a warrent, throw you in prison without anyway to ring anybody and take all your belongings and keep your money without any court hearing, the court will convinct you without evidence and make things up while ignoring evidence that supports your case while letting serious criminals off the hook with a slap on the wrist because they probably sympathise with them and hate decent human beings who have more than half a brain

@EightFootSativa Oh yeah and everyone who disagrees with the government is a part of a Christian cult called Destiny Church. So it doesn't count as opposition. That's the new system we have in NZ since Cinderella came into power.
