Slot obviously, it is not just the league but also the CL 100% record and League cup. Maresca is doing a great job but people predicting them outside the top 6 are pretty clueless. They were winning at the end of last season, they added another number of great attacking options in Neto and Sancho and Felix plus got Nkunku back, they have the most expensive midfield in the world including two players that Liverpool would have died for, and one of the best players in the world over 2024 in Cole Palmer, they have more options in fullback and they have plenty of good players in central defense. The only thing they are missing is experience in the center of defense and a great goalkeeper. Plus they basically only play once a week because of the Conference League. And they are still 7 points back. If City and Arsenal were doing well Liverpool could still be too, Chelsea would be 4th.

Also because he has a lot of young players and has had to improve players who were shite last season. IMO, Maresca's job now more difficult than Slot who continue mature squad and settle system after Klopp. But Maresca made to reset & rebuilt big squad & fitting better option who playing. So if Maresca Will finish at 2nd, its gonna great achievement at Chelsea. If Slot manage this Chelsea, I'm not sure better than Maresca.

Liverpool is NO underdog story. Last season, after winning the Carabao Cup, they were competing for the quadruple till it fell away in the last month. This set of players were already at a high level and knew each other’s game- vital to get results on the pitch. Whereas Maresca first has to get used to being a top-division Manager himself, build a team, give players confidence and improve them, and get results. The £1billion “invested” narrative is a fallacy, because Chelsea sold players and bought young players with potential. No guarantee it works. Maresca is doing a far more impressive job than Slot.
