What drove me nuts about Howell, and I was a Howell fan, was he didn't anticipate. He didn't throw a receiver open. He had to see the receiver was open before he'd throw it, and that became advantage CB, and a lot of sacks.

Tbf, that's a skill that takes time to hone. JD5 isn't perc3ct there either... he just has the rifle to make up for it, usually. Example: the TD to Terry was a tad late, could've thrown that ball a beat or 2 sooner. Luckily he was able to get it in there with some velocity and accuracy (maybe a touch behind- but the placement is perfect if it's sent earlier) and it helps to have Terry and his sure hands to go u and grab it. Hard to nitpick a guy playing our of his mind tho😅

It's early, but Sonny J could do magic with a football, JD looks good and can run; Sonny moved within the pocket at best. 😄 There is no doubt in my mind at least had Sonny not blown his Achilles on a bad patch of turf, we would have beaten Mia in SB and they would not be perfect.

I was on my way to that rally, but got a flat on the highway. It would have been 500 and 1 fans there. 😂 In regards to Santana's comment about the fans out here. Lots of transplants are out here and, let me tell you about the team's popularity here - Back when we were the Skins, I went into the retail outlet on the Indian reservation right outside of Phoenix and, in the sports apparel store, I walked around and couldn't find any of our gear except one old Skins pennant way up above a shelf off in the corner. I went to the kid behind the counter and asked what was up with that. He said, "At the beginning of the month, when the Native Americans get their monthly check, they come in and buy everything up. We can't keep up with the stock!" Also, on the Navajo reservation, up in the North part of Arizona, they have a high school that, not only calls themselves the Redskins, but also uses the exact logo we used. Every Native American person I've talked with has had no issue with the name, and many miss it.

Rewatching that WSH v AZ game, Jayden is in the pocking slinging it like he's Tom. It's like Smoot said, he does the basic things REALLY F'n WELL! The quick reads, the outs, the hitches. He Does look down field sometime, because that's something you need in the offense, but he will take the check down and let the guys move. But he's cool asf in that pocket.

More important than hitting the check down, he's also seeing the check down while scanning every read... then when the deep ball is covered, he chooses between the check down and the intermediate - usually taking the bigger chunk and moving the chains! Unless it's not there. So, he's not just taking the check down play in and play out, but taking what's there. That's qb iq well beyond his years!

That list of QBs on the 'Highest Accuracy % thru 'ANY' 4 games: Manning, Brees, Brady, Warner?? Yeah what did Smoot say? "Goat Milk?" lol nah, only 4 of the absolute best to ever play the game of football in the 102 year history of the league? I think I'll take this and be grateful my team is rapidly becoming the thing I've been patiently waiting for, remaining loyal to the franchise for over 40+ years: when they won Super Bowl XVII vs. Miami, I was 5 yrs old! Then they won vs Denver in Super Bowl XXII when Doug Williams lit it up vs Elway, I was 11 and then when they won vs Buffalo in Super Bowl XXVI I was 15 and then after Jack Kent Cooke died in 1997, and then Snyder era began, yet after a tumultuous 23 years of instability, scandal, a carousel of QBs and coaches, the short-lived hope that RGIII brought when he won ROTY in 2012, only to be mismanaged, and let back in too soon after his initial injury, he was never the same after that and even when they were known only as the "Washington Football Team", and even the Ron Rivera era and the name change to something most people can't stand: "The Commanders" ? who named the team? The US Congress? lol ~ I say ride out the next season or two at the current stadium, while rebuilding a new stadium maybe at the old RFK Site? Then do a rename to coincide with the Grand Opening of the new Washington _ _ _ _ _ _ ? So yes, Right now is one of those special moments, a time to watch my team once again rise to win the NFC East, and maybe another run at the Lombardi Trophy? Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, but wouldn't that be nice?

The thing I am liking the most about JD is the fact that he does not take unnecessary sacks! There were too many times where I was screaming at the TV with other QBs to throw dang ball!! His completion percentage is going to go down, and as long as he still doesn't take many negative plays, he is still going to be playing at a higher level.

Another aspect is Jayden’s presence on the field. As the game continues, it looks as if the game becomes slower for Jayden. He goes through his reads and checkdowns so fast. His football IQ is growing so fast. There’s a 60 minutes (tv show) interview on KZbin of Mike leach around 2008. they put a go pro cam on graham harrells helmet during one of Mike leach’s (who coached kliff kingsbury) practices. It shows how quick a decision is made in an air raid offense.

When you have a QB that can consistently execute what his OC, ask him to do, everything else looks easy! Starts with the rush..you pressure, it’ll go 1 or 3 ways, sack, but you miss, he closes in your secondary real fast, or he scrambles , keeps his head up and throws a dart , so what’s in the favor (33% u can pressure , 67% Jayden wins….nightmares) !!

I think we are going to see quick tempo against our defense; force us to play same 11 and tire, not the best defense package. We saw this and team was able to move ball easier. I'm not interested in Adams, not to say we couldn't use a WR1, just not him. Second, I'd rather pick up a starting DE like Reddick. That helps DTs and backend of defense.
