One thing we have to remember: England just came out of a civil war that lasted decades and destroyed the country. Henry absolutely needed an heir. And he had nobody. He had no close male relatives at all. He was right to be concerned about what would happen if he died without issue. As for his daughters, England had had a female claimant to the throne before, Empress Mathilda. And, guess what, the result was a civil war. While it does not excuse what he did, you can understand how desperate Henry must have been.

I have seen a Few of Oversimplified's Videos. They can be very Funny! Yes, 44 Minutes, is this one of the Biggest Videos You have ever done? The Period I am most Interested in is World War 2, due to the Sheer Struggle of Good against Evil that was Manifested in that Period. Yes, Most People only Remember Henry 8 for what He did to His Wives. Yes, the Anachronistic Toys were a Nice Easter Egg Joke! Yes, there was a lot of "Marriages for Politics" back then, but, indeed, some, thankfully, did Blossom into Love as well. Basically, He told His Teacher to "Kiss His Bottom". its an Insult. It is Odd how Henry went from being a Devout Catholic, to Creating the Protestant Religion. I wonder what caused Him to do such a complete 180! People did not live very long back then. Interesting Look into Henry's Relationship with Women. Early Henry was completely Different to Later Henry, total Personality Change. Yes, the Adverts do get a little Annoying. Yes, Britain and France have always had issues with Each other for Some Reason. I have not even Heard of that Program Before. Indeed, Catherine was a Very Tough, Very Brave, Woman. A Marriage on the Same Day as the Execution as Thomas Cromwell. Henry, really had gone Mad. Yes, Catherine Howard is one of the most Tragic Stories in British Royalty. Ah Yes, Catherine Parr, the Survivor. Like Father, Like Son, Henry 8 turned into Henry 7, a Paranoid Tyrant. I am Sorry You had to Pause the Recording. 55? I thought Henry lasted longer than that. Yes, Elizabeth 1 was the Last Tudor. Yes, Henry is one of the most Remembered Monarchs, because He went just so badly Wrong! Indeed, Oversimplified makes some great Videos. I guess the Video may have Possibly become too Long had they Covered Henry's Naval History and the Mary Rose as well. Actually, it was Fascinating to see Your Historical Knowledge, and I really enjoyed Seeing You Sharing Your Knowledge. Easy One there. Oversimplified: World War Two. My favorite is the second world war, the tech during and leading up to it as well as the politics. I'm into that period because I have met many vets (they're all dead now) and have worked and flown on some of the airplanes from it. *Also my avatar "Abbie" was made right after* Edit: That joke "Kissus my buttus," means *Kiss my a$$."
