The author herself describes this song as bright and tender. But I agree with you, there is definitely a note of sadness there. A crane (a grus, more specifically) in our culture is a very symbolic bird, it is referenced a lot in folk music, stories, and foretokens. Due to the cold weather in the winter, they always travel south to make it through the winter. So they symbolize inevitable farewell. But at the same time, when they return, it represents rebirth, a new beginning. Thank you for your reaction 🙏

Thank you very, very much for the reaction to this song....in this song, the cranes are the souls of the fallen (the dead) soldiers, and the mallow flower is their memory....an old Ukrainian tradition....lost someone close - plant mallows near the house (it used to be like that in central Ukraine...)....According to the song, the song and clip were released even before the war...it is dedicated to the military guys who died in the plane crash....therefore, in the background of the clip you can see inverted airplane tracks....Sorry for the confusion...And this is not my opinion...or something....I almost gave my great-grandmother's words verbatim....
