Seeing that playbook size was nuts. I remember in high school we were a run heavy offense. Two HB, a FB, and two TE on the line. Bone offense was our bread and butter. Our playbook had maybe 10 pages. Haha.
@mustang82065 жыл бұрын
We don't have a playbook. We just have to remember everything. They do let us write the plays coach draws up (which I never do)but that's it. We do run the same plays starting in 7th grade so their is plenty of time to learn and most of the plays are basically same just changed up enough to confuse the defense. Such as counter with the full back lead blocking instead of the pulling guard for example

I wish mahomes didn’t play 1 game in 2017 :/ 50 td and 5k yards through the air for his first season as a starter. Unreal
@Dasanie5 жыл бұрын
One of the main reason he was so successful though was because he had the opportunity to sit his first year and learn without being thrown into the fire. And came into a perfect situation, amazing O line, amazing weapons, and an offensive genius
@clark25015 жыл бұрын
Vincent what Dasani said. Mahomes had a hell of a supporting cast in KC. The best Te imo, Hill whom I think can be a top 5 receiver, he had Hunt for 11 games and when he changed positions, the backfield after him continued to put up numbers. 50 TDs and 5k yards is damn impressive, which is why he won MVP. But he also had some of the best help in the league to get there.
@TJPesce4205 жыл бұрын
@@clark2501 yeah, but let's not forget he still had to carry those games. His offense is great, yeah, but he also NEEDED to throw 50 tds because his defense was awful all year and they kept getting into game long shoot outs.
@phatike845 жыл бұрын
If you don't watch every game, don't listen to KC sports everyday, you don't see the holes. Watkins was hurt half of last season and didn't perform when healthy. The O- line isn't amazing, they're good, but nobody stands out. Reid is a great QB coach and Alex Smith is as "pro" as you get, great teacher. BUT if Mahomes fell into a great system and situation, and that's why he's MVP, then we need to say the same for Brady.

@@Messup7654 I can tell outside of a superbowl appearance there will be no appeasing a close minded buffoon like you lol. Browns haven't been the spot where careers go to die in years. Baker's 2020 season was arguably better than this year and Amari Cooper just had a career year. Jarvis Landry also immediately became irrelevant AFTER leaving the Browns. And our biggest upside is the oline. I would argue that the Browns propel players on the oline to stardom thanks to the genius of Bill Callahan.

Quarterbacks have it way easier today than dan Marino’s rookie year regardless of the complication of the game. Back then quarterbacks actually got hit and defenders were allowed to hit defenseless receivers as hard as they want not to mention pass interference is insane today. Just looks at the stats. Any qb that hit 3000 yards was amazing back then. Now qbs hit 4000 yard a year with no problem because of all the favorable rule changes. Dan Marino was playing like Peyton Manning in an era were defenses and rushing ruled the day.
