I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have worked full time (sometimes overtime) my entire pregnancy, and have done online classes while still doing chores around the house. I understand that every pregnancy is different, but outside of having to be on bedrest or something similar, being pregnant does not give you the excuse to do absolutely nothing and be lazy. She should still contribute. Don't get me wrong, I know you do need to rest more while pregnant and it's definitely okay to lean a little bit, but being entitled and expecting to not have to do anything is different.

The wife was clearly wrong in the first story since her pregnancy was going well and there was no reason for her to be just resting all day. For the first story... I had a teacher who was a health enthusiast, always excersising and stuff, she got pregnant and went about her usual schedule and had a miscarriage, this happened to her twice, eventually she was told she couldn't do any actual work for at least the first 6 months because she had a very delicate womb and had pregnancy complications easily, however my grandmother always advised us that women should be extremely careful within the first 3 months, if past that you don't have any complications then you go about your day normally. So yeah the wife had 6 months of complete relaxation, there was no need for her to blackmail and guilt trip her husband and using their baby as a shield, thats just not ok

The woman in the first story honestly sounds so much like she’s manipulating him. She seems like she’s *trying* to make her husband feel bad just so she doesn’t have to do anything while she’s pregnant. Obviously you shouldn’t push yourself while pregnant, but you should have the common sense to know that doing at least a little bit of work won’t harm you or your baby? Even if it was your first time getting pregnant you should know stuff like that through research and hearing from others, instead of just going through the whole pregnancy blind on what not to do. If I were the husband I would get a divorce and only stay in contact to help with the kid, because I wouldn’t be doing all that🧍🏽

Yeah, she was manipulating him by using his care for her and the baby's health. Like, I have even heard a lot of women say that being quite active during pregnancy is alright, as long as you don't strain yourself. I don’t have kids nor am I married so I’m going to put my personal morals on what I’d do/what I think of the situations 1. The father of the baby was 100% right. Unless the mother was on bed rest because of a tough pregnancy/was in the last month of the pregnancy (she had almost 4 months left) , or she was constantly sick and dealing with pain (not as far as we can tell), she should have helped at least 75/25 (father of the baby helped with chores 75% of the time while the mom did 25%, should be more evenly split at 24 weeks). The mom trying to force her husband to go to the store half asleep would be just plain wrong. If she had mood swings throughout the pregnancy then I’d sort of understand but she should have apologized after the fight. The husband was stressed from work and taking care of the house 24/7. 2. Honestly my opinion is biased. I understand the woman was well-intentioned by suggesting what might’ve been wrong, but she had no right to flat out say that the baby should have been with his mother instead. She was awful for not taking responsibility and backing off after the father said the baby’s mother died. The father was 100% right but I also understand both sides

okay, that first one- i definitely know that you need to rest while being pregnant, as most people know, but no way does that cut her behaviour towards her husband. If SHE isnt going to work, then it shows she probably isnt capable of taking care of the baby either, especially after doing nothing for a whole 6 months. Again i get that you need to rest but honestly, the way she acted disgusted me, as well as the MIL texting the husband, saying what she did. It scares me to see how some people are.

How are you doing Kyutie? How are you feeling? In the first story, the husband is completely in the wrong because he acting like his wife impregnated herself, and plus he would have to cook and clean for himself if he lived alone so I don't see what he is complaining about at all. His wife is carrying around their child in her tummy, she's eating for two, everything is fixing to change for him. In sentence two, the husband could've easily went to the store for his wife to solve her pregnancy cravings. He is going to be even more stressed out when their kid comes out then because children are filled with so much energy.

I don't see how he was completely in the wrong but you have some points. Also he couldn't easily go since he was tired and exhausted and they were some little snacks but maybe he could reconsider bif there wasn't any actual food and she really needed it. He was doing full time and doing all the chores so he was stressed. But the wife was very pregnant since it was six months but she couldve tried. Also how are you even though you didnt ask me to say? :))

He also had empathy and sympathy but he was loosing it at that point so he wasn't acting like she impregnated herself.

I am doing just fine thank you for asking!! If my pregnant wife needed some snacks in the early morning , then I am going to get those snacks even if I am completely exhausted because she's carrying around my seed in her tummy and that's the best gift of all. I want to keep her happy and make sure that she doesn't stress at all because that could affect the baby so why piss her off over something as simple as fruit snacks.

That woman in the first story is a butthead. That's all I really need to say. However, Someone I know has never really been incredibly strong and she still does her chores, including working a job while 7 months pregnant and she hasn't complained much about it. The baby is perfectly healthy, too. She's gotten many ultrasounds

Pregnant woman are not that delicate. Pregnant woman work daily, cook, clean and take care of large families. She is not mature enough to take care of another human. Babies are lots of work.
