I have been a Chicago Bears fan for 39 years. I want an offensive minded head coach. Give me something different. Put points on the board.
@BengalTiger4729 күн бұрын
Agreed. Nagy wasn’t as bad a coach as people made him out to be. His downfall was because of Trubisky. We made the playoffs twice with him. For me it’s gotta be Ben Johnson. If for whatever reason they can’t get him, then pivot to Joe Brady who’s done great work with Joe Burrow and now Josh Allen, who’s the likely MVP.
@curiousityman832729 күн бұрын
There’s nothing bad about having a defensive coach. You just need a good oc. I heard there’s talks about Flores as head coach and him possibly bringing in daboll as his oc if daboll gets fired. You guys are a coach away. I think looking strictly for an offensive coach isn’t a good move, considering there’s not a great experienced name out there. You just need the right guy and if he’s defensive then you need the right oc. You guys probably need more of a an experienced named coach. And there’s not a good offensive one out there. If Stefanski left Cleveland then that could be something but I don’t see it happening as a browns fan. I’d probably go belichick or vrabel and one of them would bring in a good oc.
@JamesSmith-u2z29 күн бұрын
@ The only problem with that is if the offensive coordinator is good, he will get a head coaching job elsewhere. Then the continuity gained with the quarterback may not be sustained. It’s easier to get a defensive coordinator if you lose one. Personally I like Ben Johnson a lot unless Thomas Brown is able to demonstrate that he could be the guy. I don’t want any patriot disciples.

I like Vrabel, and I agree with Key, He has to bring his own staff in. Vrabel hired Lafleur and Arthur Smith as his OC's and they were both poached- and they are both great OC's. Vrabel will bring in the right OC. Vrable HC, Klint Kubiak OC, Saleh DC. That would be a great coaching staff in 2025!!
@brucestanley9330Ай бұрын
Yes, and kubiak will be poached after one year with Caleb as QB. Then Williams career suffers due to Bears oc getting poached every year or every other year. That will keep the Bears from ever winning a Superbowl.
@victors6786Ай бұрын
@@brucestanley9330that’s not how it works. If Caleb developed into something great that his OC is getting patched. You promote within and keep the same system. I still prefer Ben Johnson. CHI under Brown just about knocked them off. That's impressive. If Brown keeps improving the team, the culture, and the wins there is every reason to believe he will continue doing so next season. Bill Belichick is the best option for Chicago. He can elevate their defense. A 1st-2nd year QB needs a good defense so they don't have a ton of pressure to carry the entire team right away. Sometimes I think Key has taken too many shots to the dome. He makes sense rarely. I agree with Irvin. Let this play out. Nobody knows what Thomas Brown is capable of doing yet. He has risen fast and been in the game basically his entire life. The players seem to be responding to him and respecting his role. Let’s see how he calls and manages the game. Let’s see how the team fights for him under his leadership. If this dude goes 5-0, I think you have to consider him the guy. The players will have spoken. Anything less than 4-1 depending on the circumstances, and he is maybe in the running, but I could understand looking at other options.

@tonya4029Ай бұрын
I agree that Joy is tripping, if she knew anything about the Bears, that's all they do, hire coaches without NFL experience. They need a coach with experience. Let's say they do bring in Belichick, the only way that would work is if Bill brings in Josh McDaniels as his offensive coordinator. Look what he did with Mac Jones his only year with him, he was a probowl QB, and the Patriots were 10-7 that year. Once Josh left for the Raiders, that's when Bill struggled. It will only work if McDaniels is the OC.
