Clint Dempsey basically single handedly got us to the quarter final of Copa America in 2016. I refuse to believe that a squad full of players that are close to that level (if not higher) couldn’t have at least gotten us there. Shambolic result. If it were any other coach, he’d be gone the day after the Uruguay game.

This is their best chance. Let's be honest, other international teams aren't looking as great as previous generations, and last gens legends are on their way out. Most international teams are in a transition period. This is US best chance, and are pooping the bed. Also, they rely whay too much on pulisic. If pulisic is shut down, the US attack becomes halted, which isn't good. I see why Reyna is going to Nottingham forest, bc his performance is non existent. Seriously don't ever see him involved with play. Weah making dumb decisions and balogun only gets the ball if pulisic feeds it to him. It's pitiful.

From what I have seen so far I believe it’s time to find another coach. I personally question the scheme fit and the defensive identity of the team. They play like a team that doing their best to hold on at times and are less talented then other teams. I don’t like the way the midfield plays and how we often don’t use the middle of the field. Usually causing a disconnect when changing from defending to attacking.

After watching this last copa America, I see 2 things. 1 Berhalter is trying to count on the talent rather than actually coach and make a team identity. 2 we have a lot of similarities to Belgium as in a lot of individual talent, and playing for “big name” clubs, yet don’t want to actually work together to be the best they can be. Firing Berhalter will obviously fix the first issue, but I personally believe the second issue is bigger

Also if anything it works against Greg berhalter. National team coach has nothing to do with player value and seeing how he has done less than previous coaches with a more valuable and arguably more talented team just shows that he is not a good coach for the team.

You’re so wrong about him being good. All of his wins are from CONCACAF fluff in the Gold Cup and Nations League but he loses all of the games against ranked FIFA teams (except Mexico who have probably their worst national team in history) that actually have a coach that knows strategy and counter-play. He’s a bum that should’ve never gotten the job and I hope he gets a job he deserves like flipping burgers at McDonalds after they sack him.

One thing about the Copa America that people saw was. A. Canada can play with the big dogs, we were able to go to head-to-head with them. B. The refs, the refs for the Copa America were an absolute disgrace to the game of football. You could see that they wanted the Copa America teams to win, especially Argentina.

We need the best for our team as we have the talent but the development is needed for our proper style play to suit our boys in blue white and red. The ideal manger would be someone who could man mange individuals like youngsters and has a very aggressive pressing style of attacking football as the USMNT has most of its strong players in midfield and attack so what I feel like might be a good manager for us could be someone like Dortmund Boss Terzic but I would love to hear other people's thoughts on this.

I think it’s not a bad idea to get a new coach. Do I consider the Argentina team that won the 2021 Copa America and 2022 World Cup better than 2010, 2014-2016 Argentina? Maybe overall they are a little better, like in defence. But their attacking stars or the main guys like Messi and Di Maria are much older. A 2018 Messi with the 2022 World Cup squad is gonna put every game to bed easily. So what was the main difference? The coaching, Argentina are weaker than most winning teams from previous tournaments or whatever. But their chemistry is through the roof. The USA have decent players, a lot play in Europe with good roles. If they wanna change coaches after 6 years, then that makes sense. Argentina only had about 2 years together (2019, 2021) since Covid 2020. With the right coach they could really do well. It’s like how less talented teams in the euros have overcome more talented teams. A coach that can make their team play as a team can have their team go on deep runs in tournaments. There’s already some tension going on with the coach and players after what happened during the 2022 World Cup and gio reyna.

I'm hoping we end up getting Pochettino. He has his flaws, but I think he would be a perfect fit for our squad. He's known for working well with young players, he has a high pressing fast paced attacking style of play, and most importantly he does know how to implement an identity into a team. I just feel like his management style would suit our squad really well and would work really well in international soccer.

First you have to fix football in the US! For the coach i believe Sérgio Conceição or Xavi would be good fits, not too good that they would never take the job, give oppurtunities to the youth, and can be good in clubs without that much money which translates to making teams perform good with not top tier, world class talent.

It's the players that fought at club level to develop and become more valuable on the market, it wasn't Berhalter's doing. US fans, especially Maxwell, have relentlessly criticized Berhalter for continuing to ride on the high end talent Within the team to keep his job. Which mind you, got it simply because one of his relatives worked in the US Soccer Federation, not because of his unconvincing record as a Professional Football Manager.

Why does it matter whats the price of the players ? Sure it helps having skill but the national team are so hard to manage because almost none of the players play with each other exept Germany they have an advantage since there are tons of Bayern players😂 Where was i? So they need a person to connect them all together and make a game plan for the players. Not all the managers can do that since the normal job of a manager is to either make a plan around one or two superstars or find players that are most suited for their speciality plan😊

The value of the players is outside of Berhalter and he was the beneficiary of the massive shift in talent. The issue is he has underperformed substantially with it. I wouldn’t call the job he’s done as “pretty good,” I’d call it decent relative to the standards set previously with much worse rosters. The team is now regressing as those players are getting closer to their prime years, which is an indictment for the job he’s doing. It has been well past time for him to go.

0 wins against any top 20 team not named Mexico. That should be the only stat that matters. We’re not good enough to build out of the back. We don’t have the talent or the personnel to play that beautiful style of football. We need to be dominating the midfield and sitting in in defense and getting out in the counter. We have the talent to produce but not when we want to be Argentina France or Brazil. We do not have the same caliber of players and we do not currently have a manager with enough tactical experience to make adjustments on the fly

False statement. The national coach has little or nothing to do with the players' worth value on the market. It is the players effort to work hard and raise their own values as well as the clubs they belong to to raise their players' values. The national team coach dont oversee these players every week. Therefore, saying Gregg has done a good job because the values of these players have gone up is wrong.

I think the only logical solution is to move all the matches in 2026 to canada because they are the only competitive team in the confederation

There’s a distinct difference between male and female football, think of it like this, women’s football is about the equivalent of league 2 in England and men’s football is the prem, there’s a massive dwarf in quality so I think it’s wrong to put the women’s and men’s American teams side by side

That’s dishonest. The first roster is clearly a camp cupcake roster. Some of the players on the recent roster were already making waves and would’ve been brought into the fold anyway by anyone other than Bruce Arena.
