Yes thank you for this topic Takpo tv, I was also a victim of this phone number reassignment, I bought my sim 2008 and has used this number for yrs and yrs until I travelled out 2015 and could could not use the sim and wen I came back 2018 December and wanted to call my fmly to come and pick me up at the airport in Lagos and it was not going at all , finally I took a cap home and the next day frnds and business associates began to come saying all sort of thing the person who bought the sim was tell them, some said the person told them I was totally ill and hospitalized that they should send him money for urgent response because the doctor cannot treat me without the deposit and i will pay them when i recovered that i cannot be able to make transfers due to my illness all sort of stories then. I began to tell my own side of the story that it wasn't me ooo honestly is so pathetic what the communication companies are doing to citizens is not proper.

That is ridiculous. I live abroad and was travelling to Nigeria and decided to recharge my sim card with 3k to call my brother to come pick me up from airport. To my greatest surprise when I on my phone I saw no network and I used another line to call that same my number and a lady picked and I was asking her how she got the line. She told me she bought. My line sold without my consent. That's bad. She was the one I recharge 3k for. Networks has to do something about this.

Excuse me sir, if you lost your number. You take responsibility of what ever that may arise. First contact your service provider immediately, secondly contact any company or organization that the phone number is attached to and take the necessary action. You can expect the network company to be waiting for you to come and make a complain. Also Nigerian system of phone services companies are trying. There are countries where you pay monthly fees for phone services, failures to pay , your phone will be disconnected immediately and you have a week to comply if not, the number will be assign to someone else. Also even if you lose your phone number. There is a two ways verification process before you could open your bank or any account associated with the phone. At lest mobile service uses security codes before you can transfer any money from your bank account with out signing into your account. The person that found your phone don’t know does security questions and code, and for home to change it. He or she mush sign into the account. Most importantly you can’t reset any password without answering security questions on the account. Let us think and talk wisely.

This your response sounds like someone living far from Nigeria. My friend's WhatsApp was hacked, yet the SIM card and the phone was with him. Till today he can't access that account. Even when he tried to reset the account they keep asking him to verify his 2 factor verification, because he didn't have it set on his account and the hacker smartly turned it on. He now became like the one impersonating. Be informed that not everyone turn on their two factor verification. It's even recently that some people are even aware of that. I have another friend that her Facebook account was hacked and the account has been blocked till today. We had our two KZbin channels hacked. It was only with the help of KZbin that we got them back. So please find out what's going in our world today before you you give your shallow reply.
