He's fully independent. This was filmed live in the basement of a building they had no permission to be in. After the first take the landlord found them and tried to kick them out. They convinced him to let them stay for another half hour, and recorded three more takes. This is the last take. All that back and forth is being perfomed live. He's insanely talented.

About Ren Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond! From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell. He’s 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his life in Brighton, England. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things. He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. Ren was severely I’ll from his 20’s and was misdiagnosed, after years they found out he has Lyme disease and it has done permanent damage. He finally found a doctor in Canada who is treating him now. For 10 years he thought he was dying but he is much better now.

Here is some additional information giving you some background on Ren. I gathered the information from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. A handful of people frequently post an earlier version of my comment to various reactions that they copied and pasted verbatim, so if this is a repeat just ignore this comment. I keep editing the information, as needed, and have removed details about Ren that some found to be too personal, such as his full name and D.O.B. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release. Ren is a Welsh musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon. Great reaction guys! He's 33 years old, started when he was 14. WAS signed to Sony and then dropped (mutually agreed to) when he couldn't keep up with his contractual obligations because of an undiagnosed health affliction. This is really just the tip of the iceberg. He's got so many amazing songs, in so many different styles. You think the guitar is nice? You should see him behind a piano, or producing the beats that he raps over. "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full)" is a work of art as well, but his newest song Money Game Part 3 is his best work imo. Seeing Parts 1 and 2 first aren't necessary, but it can't hurt. Make sure you do the full Jenny video though. The Tales are three videos he recorded over a few years that tell a full story, and viewing them out of order would ruin them. They are now compiled together in a single 13 minute video. It's amazing, and recorded live like this song was.

I shot the sheriff road to zion hip hop medley the version where hes wearing red braces (USA red trouser suspenders) this is best version. Also Wade in the water different busking performance where he is outstanding playing bass guitar & singing as are the rest of the band with their performance. He covers many genres from rap, reggae, rock, punk etc. If your looking for follow up track to Hi Ren - sick boi, more rap is the hunger, lising it, power, and homage to beastie boys is what you want. If you want a great bard core story telling the triology 3 one shot takes is the tale of Jenny and Screech and violets tale. Then hopefully you will all buy the sick boi album to help this independent artist and react to hus latests amazing tracks.

Just to reinforce what user-qj5lc8bm2m said about the Sheriff/Zion/Hip Hop video from The Big Push... you DO want to be sure to pick the Red Suspenders Ren version. There's more than one video of them doing Sheriff. All of them are at least "damn, this band is good! why haven't I heard of them before?" quality, and at least one of them has more views than the Red Suspenders Ren version (because it's older, and was the most popular until the band did the Red Suspenders Ren version). Lost of people fall for that - they figure the one with the most views is the best one. But the day the band was performing with Ren in those red suspenders, they were ELECTRIC. I once saw one person say in the comments on a reaction video, regarding the different videos that came out of that performance (there are 3 videos of songs they performed that day, I think), "Red Suspenders Ren is a cheat code" and I don't think anyone will ever describe it better than that.

@@MyCatalog23 oh he has a huge catalogue for you to enjoy and all of It's stunning (although his really early stuff from when he was a baby adult doesn't resonate with me). He was recently in a band called the Big Push doing covers and originals, they are so good. Also he does a lot of busking both with his band and someone called Sam Tompkins who is also experiencing his own success at the moment, along with duets with somebody called Chinchilla which will blow your mind. If possible always do his live versions and for the busking videos with the Big Push look for the ones where he is wearing red suspenders and you can't go wrong. Enjoy the 🐦🐰🕳️. 😁😁😁

Ren respects all religions hence the 'Gods' part. Just bc you believe in one particular God doesn't mean someone else who listens to him can't believe in another or none at all. Loved watching you guys as you listened and watched Ren perform this song. Can’t wait for you to check out more of his catalog-he does not disappoint. Ren was signed to a record deal with a division of Sony records at 19 when he was spotted street performing in Brighton, England but shortly after he was debilitated by a mysterious illness and couldn’t deliver. Ren got number 1 in the UK album charts last night. For an independent artist, it's an incredible achievement. Add in all the health issues and obstacles he faces, and it's just beyond amazing. There is a video of him finding out which made me cry with joy. I'll find the link and send it in a reply. I'm so proud of him and the global community(RENagades) he's managed to cultivate. He's insanely talented and deserves everything he is getting g at the moment. I respect that. The fact is Christians, Catholics, Muslims and Jews all have the same one God they all worship. It’s disrespectful to say they all have their own God’s when that’s not the case. But yes in India and old Greek and I’m sure other places in the world have their own God’s.

I’ve read the Quran personally. Occupation, Oppression or Wars, Fights, Drugs….etc are Forbidden. The people who are in wars currently are not REAL Muslims, Jews or Christians. They Misrepresent The Religions. Im not Muslim but I know the Bible and the Quran have the same similar stories of the same Prophet’s just like the Torah. The Quran is a beautiful book that will stir you the right path. Real Muslims you can find at your local mosque. Same with Christians at your local church. I’ve been personally to many churches and the energy and love in the church is REAL and GENUINE. I’m sure in the Mosque is no different. Btw Muslims pray 5 times a day. Genesis, animal flow, the hunger, murderer, illest of our time. Retakes... bitter sweet symphony, fisher rap. Callaborations... anything with the big push, chinchilla (live versions only), sam tomkinson, eden nash. There are many many more like Diazepam and the accustic versions of genesis, animal flow and murderer. His catalogue is vast and civers many genres. Have fun getting lost in the rabbit hole.
