The clip at the end of the video with the two guys talking is from a Spike Lee movie. There is no question that the press pushed and encouraged racial division for political reasons. They have been doing that crap for as long as I can remember. It's to the credit of both Magic and Bird that they wanted to remain above it and stay on point, meaning the game.

Game 5 was about 90F in Boston that day and the garden had no A/C. It was over 100 on the court and the lakers wilted. Parish lost 15-20 lbs of water during the game and lakers had oxygen on the bench.

Burning through these reacts. Those guys in Boston were shirtless because back in those days, the garden didn't have a/c. It could be upwards of 90 degrees in there. And he won the league mvp 3 times in a row. Not championships. He won those in 82, 84 and 86. Edit... see you caught on to that at the end. One love brother.

If you go back on this video to the 19:18 time, Bird is clearly more than 6'9", and when I met Bird in Boston, I am 6"10" we were the same size.

Hey man, at 19:40 that's a movie clip and not part of the interviews - that's why they drop an N bomb. I think you missed that and it's why you were so surprised. I wonder how much a brand new set of Bird and Magic converse would be these days? If I had a time machine I'd go back and buy a set of each...

I still firmly believe if the finals format has stayed 2-2-1-1-1 instead of 3-2-3 Celtics would’ve won. Winner of game 5 wins series like 80% or more of the time. 2-3-2 put game 5 in LA which they won. Then in ‘86 Celtics drafted Len Bias 2 overall who basically Jordan like (watch videos and ask Dukes coach K). But he Fing OD’d after the draft. Celtics win 2 more titles including ‘87 against laker if Bias is on that team. 😔

Thank you young man. Thank you for being a wise and discerning man. I happen to be a white guy, and I sincerely appreciate you for not being racist. I can tell your not. Hey; we are all children of God, and skin color has little to do with anything in this life. I grew up in the suburbs of Boston, and I loved watching the Celtics. I had many favorite players. Here is the list: Dave Cowens, John Havlicek Jo Jo White, Gerald Henderson, Tiny Archibald, Cedric Maxwell, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, Bill Walton (The Dead Head Hippy), and Dennis Johnson (The late great DJ, may he rest in eternal peace with God!). What about Bird you ask? Yeah, I liked him. Not as much as the aforementioned. I loved his play, and his stealth, deadly clutch play at the end of games. His passing was just like you reacted to it!!!!!!!!!!!!! He would do that full court pass shit; and I would say "What the???????". "Bird! what the heck! How do you know that a guy is open and looking for the pass????????????? Think about about me young man. I was watching a game 40+ years ago on an old TV. The TV Network did not gives us the best replay all the time. It would be a close game, and Bird would be in a crowd and somehow come out with a rebound, and then, as you put it in your reaction video "He would just step out of bounds and then HISSSSSSS...fire the damn ball down the court!!!!!!!!!!". My stomach would flip flop, and my heart would skip a beat. Bird was great. He did that full court pass stuff like you read about, but his passing in a crowd, and over the head, behind the back, bounce, no look, tip / quick touch stuff was just too fast to see back then. I liked Larry, I rooted for him and his team, and I respected him begrudgingly. H was a little too blunt; and "as a matter of fact". for me. Now the competition. My first favorite player when I was about 12 years old was Dr. J.; Julius Irving. Have you ever seen that video of him in NYC at Rucker Park? Julius was nothing but classy, skilled, and kind man. He know basketball. Julius was still my favorite even though I rooted for the Celtics. I wish Julius had an opportunity to play with a team like the one Magic got to play with. Julius was better than Magic and Bird in my humble opinion. God just did not give him the a path in life like He gave to Bird and Magic. Michael Jordan, who I respect as a gifted player, did his thing. He is not one of my favorites. Le Bron James, who I respect, love to watch, and absolutely respect as a player, is not one of my TOP favorites; but................man I love to watch that guy. The Lakers in the 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn!!!!!!!!! Kareem Abdul Jaabbar!!!!!!!!!! This man was nuts crazy good under the hoop!!!!!!!!!!! Unstoppable! He was also funny as heck in that Airplane movie! I just plain love and respect this man. Michael Cooper! What an AMAZING player!!!!!!!!!!! He was a superman defender, and fantastic on offense if given the ball. Kurt Rambis! Damn good!!!! Think about who he had to come in the game for??? Ask Kareen, Mr. Cooper, and Mr. Johnson about Kurt Rambis. They will tell you that he was tough, skilled, and a winner!. James Worthy! OMG!!!!!!!!!! What a player! He was a winner and a deadly opponent! Earvin Magic Johnson!!!!!!!!!! He was a great opponent. I liked him as a man more than Bird, but I rooted for bird. I loved and respected the Lakers, but I rooted for the Celtics. May God Bless you young man. Thank you for your sincere and discerning reaction video. Kind Regards Michael P.S. I use to watch the Lakers against other teams, if I was lucky to catch one. I would root for the Lakers. I use to do the same for Dr. J's Sixers.

That film clip shown where John Tuturo drops the N-word is from a seminal film by the then young man who went on to harass opponents from the NY Knicks sidelines, Spike Lee. Educate yourself a little more, see "Do The Right Thing". Be ready to feel torn. It'll make you feel like things are the same as they ever were, but it can also make you feel that hope can never die. I'm really enjoying your reaction videos :)

Here, I thought it was going to be another good video. The video being reacted to is good, but the reaction is not so great, nor is it very intelligent when it comes to basketball matters. This is simply one kid's opinion who is not educated very well in the sport. In the future, please link to the original video. I would prefer to watch the video being reacted to without the subpar commentary. Thank you, and good luck.
