Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: 2nd Edition (PS2) Longplay (4K)

A longplay of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire 2nd Edition on PS2. This is based on the UK version of the game show and features Chris Tarrant as the host. It's a little barebones like most of these Millionaire series games, but still a fun time on the couch with some friends and/or family! When was this released? Frankly, I can't figure that out if I'm being totally honest. The PS1 earlier versions were released right around 2000, but this version seems to be a ghost and I don't have a copy of it in front of my to reference. I’m surprised to see that unlike past and future Millionaire video games, when you answer a million pound question correctly in this game, the right answer doesn’t go from orange to green; instead the question and answers just disappear

That's actually a really good point. You're right, others that I've played do a much better job of adding suspense to the final question. I definitely haven't played all of these, but the US Regis Philbin games on PS1/PC/MAC (IIRC) did a decent job, considering lesser capabilities. Actually, this game being on a newer more advanced console feels really bare-bones tbh. Although I will say that Chris Tarrant actually looks quite good here IMO. Me: Can we have Chris Tarrant? Mum: We have Chris Tarrant at home. Chris Tarrant at home: No, but seriously, that Chris Tarrant model looks good to me, it actually looks like the 90s era Chris Tarrant, post-Tiswas. I wouldn't mind using it for SFM animations starring Chris Tarrant. Of course, I would have to source audio from Tiswas, Through The Keyhole and (of course) Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

This is probably one of the best versions of Millionaire out there. Chris Tarrant in CGI form is amazing. Shame the music cues are a little off...

Like in the final question if you get it wrong it plays the £2000 & £64000 lose cue instead of the £468000 lose cue like in the PS1 & PC versions

No need to install, just use PCSX2 and get the game from somewhere like Vimm, very safe.
