Back then the phone-a-friend was often trying to search the answer (boo!) and the computer would be too slow. You can often even hear the clickety-clack.

I like game shows as much as the next guy for me the problem with watching these on gsn was a commercial break was just a single commercial eg nutrisystem the scooter store and st. Jude's research hospital 🏥

the episode is shortened because of GSN’s time compression, it usually is 44 minutes but it's shortened to 42 because GSN loves commercials.

Scott had his buddy the googler as the lifeline but it was a super difficult word to spell and he ran out of time. Could've just googled Dec 2000 volcano eruption and would've had the answer. He wasted time getting him to give the exact spelling.

@@matthaddock1817 Uh no it doesn't. You just have to know how to google. Like I said there's key things you search for. These people just wanted to type out the question word for word. @seikibrian86415 жыл бұрын
How is it bullshit? You can have a local or a long distance conference call, and call waiting isn't a requirement. You can use a speakerphone when calling one other person, and you don't necessarily need it for a conference call. What makes a conference call a conference call is that three or more people are participating in the call.
