The "I'm only here once" mindset got him to gamble £15k in order to get to the checkpoint, because he knew he'd be able to have a free guess to get to £64k. He won the gamble, and got lucky on the £32k question, then he knew the next two answers. So that one risk meant he won £250k, instead of going home with £16k. Great player.

Incredible to think Chris Pattinson was fractions of a second away from saying final answer to Edwina Currie. If that 50/50 hadn't been used, or hadn't removed Currie, he'd have won £249,000 less than he ended up bagging. What a contestant!

I need to sort my recorder out but they're only doing celebrity ones from the 2007 era, and contestants only ever seem to walk away £5,000; it's not as exciting 😔

it's 2004, but the 15-question format did continue into the first half of 2007 (the first 12-question format episode wasn't until August 2007).

I rarely know the answers beyond £32,000. But the Space Centre and James bond questions were an absolute dream set, for me. I had family in Leicester who lived just round the corner from the Space Centre. And Bob Holness was the first actor to portray James Bond. I know that, for some reason. But man, you'd never pick Bob Holness from that selection if you were not aware of that obscure fact.

I have driven past the sign for the Space Centre. As for the Bob Holness one it’s the sort of trivia that the Sun would’ve printed when he was famous for Blockbusters.

13% of the audience were correct (they said B, the right answer), 87% were wrong (they said A, C and D).
