For anybody else who fell into the same trap Mark fell into, don't worry. I did, too, and I consider myself very good about geography. However, it turns out that Santa Fe is indeed the highest, and by a larger height than I expected. It stands at *7,199* feet high, almost 2,000 feet higher than Denver. As a result, I've heard locals say that you should take at least two full days to acclimatize if you ever visit.

On John Cuthbertson's $64,000 question - the interesting thing is that the Nobel Peace Prize is the only Nobel Prize that is given in Oslo. Funnily enough, all of the other ones are actually given in Stockholm.

I remember this episode being on a GSN rerun when I was a kid (back when the November 1999 episodes were new to me), so you can imagine how shocked I was that Mark bombed at $32,000 with all three lifelines remaining, and that the phone-a-friend was never used in this episode (which, by the way, made me think "Is the phone-a-friend ever used in this series?").

14:58 Mark loses $15,000. Was living a bit dangerously on the previous few questions by going with deductive reasoning. Came back to haunt him in the end. Still had all his lifelines too.

I agree with Jim. The audience would've likely went with Mark's logic. Unless the phone-a-friend was a geography expert, they would likely have also guessed Denver. Pretty certain 50-50 would've left Santa Fe and Denver as well.

The UK producers mandated that the sets, music and rules be kept the same, though they allowed a friendlier host in Regis compared to Chris. It stood out for that reason, they weren't allowed to mess with it

I think there may have been some extra cues for the US version, though. The “last time on WWTBAM…” cue (the one with the bells lead), used to recap the last show, isn’t in any UK episodes. I’ve never even found a clean copy of that cue.

I found out that a lot of ABC channels have used the logo shown in the bottom right corner. Without local ads in this upload it's hard to tell. I don't live near any of their locations as the ones I receive where I live are WNEP (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) and WPVI (Philly).
