No. In some international versions yes, but on the US show the contestant has to give the question and answers when the clock starts. It was always that way since 1999.

This was almost unwatchable with the amount of bad jokes. None of them were funny. At all. I do like Kimmel, tho. Poor guy had to fake laugh at all the cringe.

You should watch the 2021 episodes, it had civilians (but they restricted applications to essential workers and first responders during COVID. They did also get the 32k guarantee), so you get to see Kimmel hosting with ordinary people there
