Giuliani was a fantastic musician and composer. I have not studied him a lot when I first learned classical guitar and now I enjoy discovering his repertoire. Have a great week!

That is an excellent suggestion as I love his work. He is probably my favourite Cuban composer too! I'll add him to the list for next year! In the meantime, have an excellent weekend, full of music!

I use various sources (Wiki and the associated sources, www.maestros-of-the-guitar.com/, music editors' sites like Tecla, etc.). As per the description of this video, the link regarding the guitar discovered in London is: www.paulpleijsier.nl/assets/pdf/soundboard_2001.pdf

I'm studying classical guitar after many years of electric guitar playing. Sor, Giuliani and Carulli are the JS Bach, Beethoven and Mozart of the early guitar!

They are often called the Fathers of classical guitar :) It's a shame they are almost unknown to non-guitarists. Great to play electric and classical guitar!! Hope you had a great weekend, full of music 🎶 🎵

@@AxelleGuitar I've been delving into classical music in general for 20 years now and I'd never even heard of any of these guitar composers until I started classical guitar. It's a shame, they all have their own distinctive styl. I still enjoy electric guitar but the classical guitar appeals to me because like the piano it can sound great as an instrument by itself whereas the electric guitar usually needs a band behind it.
