I'm a direct descendent of Samuel. I find myself very much like him. It's weird how things must be in our genes. I have so much in common with Samuel, and his father, it's really kind of creepy. I mean, I've taken on the government/my University and always won. I don't take credit for my talent, just my work. But, like Samuel, I have learned so many languages. Never just bow down to authority. Those who fall in line, seldom make history. STAY DEFIANT!!!!

Is there something we could make clearer? The goal of the video is to explain why Samuel Adams cared about liberty and how his concern was grounded in a biblical upbringing. Most of the time in history books, students get to Boston during the pre-Independence period and just meet a full-grown Sam Adams the firebrand without this context. Our curriculum presents the American Revolution as a reformation rather than a true revolution, such as in France.
