Who was Terry Fox?

Terry Fox is a Canadian hero who is known all around the world. Terry Fox was only 18 years old from British Columbia Canada, when he was diagnosed with bone cancer in his right knee, which left him with artificial leg. Athlete Terry Fox confronts cancer by running 26 miles a day in his cross-country Marathon of Hope. Despite numerous treatments Terry Fox died on June 28, 1981, but his legacy continues. Annual Terry Fox Run is held in cities across Canada and around the world.
