also that would actually be based on something that exists Slipstream appeared with the Siege Seeker design in the comics, there is no version of Slipstream in comics or animation where her design is based off of Windblade (which makes no goddamn sense to begin with, SLIPSTREAM. IS. A. SEEKER. she should be made from a Seeker), the only time Slipstream did appear with a Windblade-derived design was obscure Japanese comics, but those did not invent the concept, they were based off the toy based off nothing

yeah that's the thing the body works OKAY for her (we've seen slipstream retooled out of windblade before and they didn't do that much the first time either) but her head legit looks like a titan master it takes so much away from the cohesion of the figure and makes it look like a bad custom

While this Slipstream doesn’t look like her Cyberverse model, I do still like it a lot. I headcanon that she has such a beef with Windblade that she remodeled her body to resemble her, trying to beat Windblade at her own game. Maybe she also got some interdimensional gyro-rotors from Swindle, like the Legends toy this one is clearly homaging? Also that Tarn sword looks good with her. I wonder how she’d look with a teal blade....

I don’t mind her being a remold of Windblade. I just wish that they had done more than just retooled the head. Basically, I am in total agreement. A new chest and either new shoulders or forearms to mount the null rays and this would have been a perfectly acceptable release.

on paper i feel like i should like this figure, but i wish they had retooled more of her. like, new chest and shins at least, those are the most explicitly cyberverse windblade parts of the mold and they’re really distracting. i like how the colours came out at least, the stock photos have been very confusing about that.

They needed a bigger retool budget. Remove the VTOL fans and have plain wings, retool the chest, retool the shoulders for 5mm ports and retool the shins. I'd have bought it. I still have that TFCC Timelines Slipstream from that Prime Starscream mold and I feel like that still works the best.

Personally, I'd rather they had used a Seeker mold for her Seeing as she's a Seeker (first* canonical female Seeker no less) Rather than "Windblade, but Purple" just cuz Takara did it that one time *First in the sense that she was a Seeker who was unambiguously female from the get-go.

If I remember, I think it was the 3P Nonnef that did tease an upgrade kit for her which was a new chest piece and head? That is the only factor that determine me if I want to get her or not as I already got Windblade.

They also made upgrade kits for Windblade as well. The only thing I didn't like about the upgrades were that, out of the four swords in the kit, none of them were purple.

My number one complaint is all about scale, I just never like Deluxe planes (at least Earth-mode planes). Planes are bigger than cars, I always feel like they should be at least Voyager-sized. That increased budget would give them some more parts to work with, and then maybe they could change up the torso a little more. But I do like this toy! She looks alright on my Seeker shelf, I just wish she was the same size as the other Seekers

The torso needed that retooling to have the seeker toros look with the cockpit in the middle but a smaller one to fit this figure and the head idk because it has cyberverse on the packaging it doesn’t fit that all that good, well the head is kinda meh in general. It’s not a bad repaint but not the best one either

I think my bottom line is I just wish that they had waited a year to do to this mold what they had done to Evolution Jiax-whoseit/United Vector Prime. A thought I had was if they had retooled the mold specifically for Slipstream, I think the body would have been androgynous enough that they could do the other cyberverse seakers from it. It has the potential, but it needs the work. Disappointed but still getting it to slap the nonnef kit on it.

The mold, weapons, and head sculpt are better on Windblade, but the colors and personality of Slipstream are more interesting to me. I personally met in the middle but getting both but giving the purple flame sword to Slipstream. Just looks cooler imo. I do really hope we get a better head upgrade for Slipstream. That default head sculpt is one of the worst I've ever seen

I don't mind them using the Windblade mold, considering the original Takara Animated Slipstream was also a Windblade, but that figure got a new chest, and this figure should have had one. But my bigger issue is just hasbro's refusal to make a proper female voyager seeker mold. Slipstream IS a seeker, she should look like a seeker. Cyberverse went out of its way to have male and female seeker models. I don't even need female seeker to be a separate mold, but I don't get why Hasbro won't just give us voyager figures of female seeker characters. And just hasbro's refusal to make Voyager's of female characters in general. It annoys me that every female character has to be a deluxe. The last time they gave us one was Potp Elita-1, and that figure while not as good a toy as Legacy Elita, better represented the Character of Eilta-1. I've always thought Elita should at least be as tall as Optimus. I just feel like for all Hasbro's strides in making more toys of female characters, they still won't go far enough and give us figures bigger than deluxes.

Cyberverse has been done dirty by legacy. Shadow striker was a pretool of the blue guy, chromia was a retool of prowl and now slipstream being a retool of windblade (windblade got her own mould but that's it). And I've got to stress that by "retool", I mean the head was changed, other than that, it's just a redeco. I actually really like chromia, shadow striker and I want to get slipstream, it just sucks that hasbro won't give the best characters their own figures

Windblade definitely wears the mold better; shes near, if not absolutely perfect. Slipstream is somewhat disappointing as a _Cyberverse_ character, but simply _as_ herself, the character of Slipstream, shes honestly quite alright. Shes a pretty cool version of the character deserving a spot in the collection, just not the best in terms of accuracy to the specific version of the character in Cyberverse. Also, it is pretty disappointing that she can't wield her Null Rays in classic Seeker fashion, but at least she can wield them on her wings, or the backs of her shoulders or forearms, which is at least something. I know for sure that I do really want Windblade because shes great and I still don't have her yet, as well as Slipstream. Both Fembots are deserving spots in my collection. I need them.

They did a million repaints of the Siege seeker mold, people were begging that one to used as a repaint for her, they end up using Windblade and the remolded parts just look straight up bad. Honestly would have been fine waiting longer so she could get a voyager spot in a wave, also just rubbed salt in the wound that she was revealed the same time Quake got a new figure with more retooling and he came with two Targetmasters. Massive disappointment, she looks awful.

Slipstream is so damn weird to me, lack of retooling aside. I swear every image I see of her, the lighter purple is a different shade, heck even the one I have with me looks so different deco-wise compared to the one in the video I'm also not too fond of the placement of the 5mm pegs on the null rays. They feel too far back. I still like her but its a weird thing I've seen around.

I refuse to get this toy on principle; she is supposed to be a female SEEKER! She needed to be a recolor of a Starscream (Siege would have been the best since the long legs with high heels and smallish body makes it kind of unisex). Outside of any gimmick toys, we've only had one toy that actually was a recolor of a Starscream, the Aligned one. I'm still waiting on an actual Slipstream toy (hopefully TFOne SS would come out)
