Judges 6 tells the story of Gideon. It states that the Meionites and Amalekites were allowed to prosper against Israel BECAUSE of the sins of Israel. According to the Bible, Esau and Jacob met, as Jacob was coming back from his uncle Laban, where he married his two wives. Jacob asked whether Esau was still angry with him, and whether Esau would welcome him back, unto which Esau showed kindness and forgiveness, embracing back his brother.
