Who were The Gullah Geechee? Touring South Carolina's Plantation

have you ever been to Boone Plantation in South Carolina? Let me tell you, it's an amazing place to visit! This historic site is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but it also has a rich history. It's known for its ties to the Gullah Geechie people who were once enslaved there.
When I visited, I got the chance to meet some of the Gullah Geechee people who still work there. It was incredible to hear their stories and learn about their culture. The folks here shared with us how they've been able to preserve their unique language, traditions, and food over the years.
Walking around the plantation was also a surreal experience. You can see the old cabins where the enslaved people lived and worked, and learn about their daily lives. The oak trees draped in Spanish moss, the winding paths, and the beautiful gardens are also stunning to see.
Overall, we highly recommend a visit to Boone Plantation. It's a must-see for anyone interested in history, culture, or just looking for a beautiful spot to explore.

South Carolina has been on my heart for a while and I plan on visiting with my family this year. Boone Plantation is a must see thanks to you!;🙏🏾🙏🏾.. My family and I just visited Whitney plantation late last year with our 2 boys (2 and 8 years old) btw, I just googled vegan restaurants in South Carolina the other day. Did you try out any spots that you would suggest?
