Thank you for this video. I'm challenged by the idea that even though we are to love holiness and God's Word, that should not cause us to separate from sinners but rather to love the lost even more like Jesus did. On a side - The 7 types of Pharisees were hilarious 😆

I’m wondering where your information about Judas being pressured into making the sacrifice and leading a group into the mountains. From my references, all of them attribute these events to Mattathias, Judas’ father. When Mattathias died in 166/5 BC, Judas continued the Maccabean revolt.

The best example par-exelance was Apostle Paul. (Why did Christ chnaged his name from Saul to Paul?). Paul was perfect educated by the Pharisees. He lived in Tarsus, where in that time existed the bigest Stoic Philosophic School of that time. You have NO IDEA, how spiritual life was at that time. We Greeks WROTE EVERYTHING DOWN. Apostle Paul says (1 Corinthians 11,2) "Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and KEEP THE ORDINANCES, as I delivered them to you". Ups, which ORDINANCES sir????? Apostle Paul lived practically in Greek cities and the people WROTE DOWN the ORDINANCES which he gave them in Corinth, in AThens, In Thassalonica, In Philippi, in Smyrna, in Ephessus, in Berroea und everywhere. And you Americans want to teach us GREEKS? SORRY, BUT I HAVE TO LOUGH. WHERE IS YOUR ORAL TRADITION? Where are the ORDINANCES given by the Apostles. Where are the Canons and the Liturgy?

The Gospels were written about fifty years after Jesus's death. We don't really know whether Jesus spoke harshly about the Pharisees or the authors of the Gospels did. It's partially very early Christian polemics proving the spiritual superiority of Christianity over Judaism. It depicts an inaccurate picture of the Pharisees. for example the Pharisees developed the concept of pikuach nefesh, saving lives, supersedes all laws, including observing Shabbat but you wouldn't know that from the Gospels.

That is a false premise, the apostles had extra biblical writings of their preachings which contained alot of these stories. It was also orally taught for decades. The reason why the gospels were believed to be written later is not because the evidence shows that, it is because most biblical scholars cannot accept the fact that the destruction of the temple was clearly prophesied in the gospels so they date after the destruction. The problem is the book of acts affirms alot of these event and is said to be later than the book of luke which has the destruction of the temple prophesy. The book of acts does not mention temple destruction which means it was written before 70AD. Also luke spoke to witnesses that lived during jesus time which means the gospel are earlier than most scholars would like to admit. There is just no evidence that says they were written later. Another reason why they werent immediattely written was because the apostles believe jesus was returning to rapture the church in their life time.

You also have the students of the apostles like polycarp who were also scribes copying the gospels and destributing them early. Who had close relationships with the apostles and would have corrected the gospels if they were wrong, instead the affirm them.

So-called oral law that you speak of was not given by God. It was the traditions of men and Commandments of men that the Pharisees added to the word of God With God commanded them not to do.

The early oral law of the Pharisees also allowed them to subtly manipulate circumstances 1 on 1 with commoners or widows who were ignorant of the fine details etc. They could sometimes “ride the fence” on issues that seemed inconclusive etc. When the oral law is written down, on papyrus or stone etc, then the Letter of the Law can be independently verified from a pharisees verbal words and the intentions or Spirit of the Law is consistent and can focus on the Worship & Love of God first, and having love for others second. It also is easier to pass on from generation to generation etc. All the Laws boiled down to loving God, and then loving others. Most Pharisees used the law for power, superiority, political control, condemnation of some of the common jews, self-righteousness, legalism, etc, at the very expense of what the ACTUAL intended Spirit of the Law was. This is partly why Jesus condemned their behaviours and hypocritical living, as their hearts were hardened to the common jew, prostitute, thief, poor, unclean, or homeless etc, because the Pharisees did not have the Fruit of the Spirit, as their self-righteous facades only concealed that they were rotten to the core inwardly.
